Howdy folks! Well, I just got done setting up all the prizes for my guys to package tomorrow. Only took me and Melissa 3 hours to go through all 67 prizes! Not too shabby! I love cats! Plenty of room on the farm for cats here. I did a lot of rescue and fostering. Being the soft hearted guy, the worst off of the litters and a few juveniles got to stay here because it's hard to rope a cat.lol
Cats hate vapor by the way, messes up their sense of smell. Fun stuff, that's it for now. :-D

No new vape for me...yet, but Watch just bought me an Axiz mod (Watch is really awesome). Can't wait for it to get here. It's a preorder, so it could be a while.
I have a batch of DIY TriBeCa steeping. Looking forward to that.
I have a dog and a baby. No cat though. There is a cool neighborhood cat that chills on the porch with me and the dog while I vape. He's pretty cool. What are you vaping these days? Anything from VW? I need to place an order soon (I need to see what my car inspection costs me first).

Took in a cat earlier in the year after a relative down the road put her out. Was worried about some of the neighbors dogs gettin her. Didn't know she was pregnant. Had 5 kittens in April. Looks like a zoo here now! I can try and put on the tough guy act, but I can't resist a kitty.

Can't say I'm a sucker for cats.......I'd never be cruel to one or put one out or anything....but I'm just not a fan. I am, however, a HUGE sucker for dogs. I currently have 2 since my Monte passed a few months ago, but I never turn a dog away so I'm sure I'll end up with 3 or more again soon. I've bought my share of dogs from breeders. I used to want to get the best bred dogs but I've found the dogs I've rescued from the pound or taken in have been the best dogs I've ever had. It seems like they appreciate what they have so they're just happier to be loved. All my dogs over the last 15 years have been rescues and I've made a decision I'll never visit a breeder or pet store again.

I'm the same way. Not a cat guy, although the neighborhood cat is alright, mostly minds his own business. I love rescue dogs. I have one, and my parents have rescued a few over the years. I want more, but my wife says "we should wait til the baby's older", like that makes any sense.

My boy that just passed was a mix of Lab, Great Dane, and Blue Tick. Made for a beautiful dog and he was incredibly loyal too. That was the guy that sold me on rescues instead of store bought dogs. We got Monte when he was a year old and the old guy gave us 16 years of love. He was a great old guy and it damned near broke my heart when he died.
My baby-girl, Sadie, is a Dachshund-Beagle (Doxle) and we've only had her for for 5 or so years but she's wormed her way into my heart in a HUGE way. This little one follows me around like....well, a little puppy dog, everywhere I go. She sits outside the bathroom while I'm in it.....waits outside the shower while I'm in it.....sits on my feet at any time I'm in the house sitting down.....and sleeps with me in the crook of my arm. I'm telling you, this girl has me wrapped around her little paw-paw.
I've got one that's actually a pure bred Beagle. Papers and all. Came from a prize winning line at a breeders! Yup! Big beautiful beagle of championship lineage! The dip shit, low life, pathetic excuse for a fucking human, breeders decided he wasn't worth keeping because his tail curves the wrong way, so they dropped his ass off at the shelter. Even gave the shelter all his papers. Nice folks, huh? I swear, people are just too damned hung up on perfect! (Pardon the language there.....but I really despise folks who are cruel to animals). Anyway, his name is Nike because he's got the perfect Nike Swoop on his neck.
Oh, and I've also got a crazy ass cat that will come up and rub up on you a bit, then bite the shit outta you. Damned crazy cat.

Thanks for the all the contests Watch - This is the 2nd time I've ever won anything (besides bingo in 2nd grade) so it feels pretty damn good
yeah, cats have unique brains in the animal world, many folds in the upper brain like humans, giving them unique thought process like us in a way.
I love dogs too, just don't think I'm experienced enough with them like cats to be able to rescue and rehabilitate. I've had hundreds of rescue cats come and go to forever homes now. We have a great deal of experience with the illness that's common with Feral cats and great success with natural medicine. The best has been L-lysine a common vitamin that SERIOUSLY boosts the immune system in all creatures and people.
I really enjoyed reading the personal stories you shared and I too lost my best friend Max who was more human than cat and knew me well, often comforting me during my painful disability. He died from a saddle thrombus way to young and a cat sized hole is in my heart now. Thanks for letting me get to know you better!

To all my friends that are caring for and sharing their life and home with kittys and doggies, there is no higher honor. I salute you for putting up with the often crazy behavior of cats. They are unique in the animal world and because of those most complex brains I really believe they can read into our feelings and dispositions.
I have a special bunch here now. A 30lb Maine **** that's needing a lot of help and keeps the place in an uproar. Two Ragamuffin cats, a brother and sister that a breeder tossed to the curb as small kittens and are now coming along well at 4 years. Another that's a real lover, and also suffering a disease that's full time to treat. A Boston Bombay that's the matriarch of the house and hates other cats *sigh* she gets special attention to keep her quiet. My daughters college kitty that was tossed from a car on the highway and suffers from that injury, that's come along way too. They are my kids and part of a family.
Thank you all for the heart warming stories of your loved furry ones, I could never tire of hearing how they bring so much to the table living us back for the very little they take in the equation. Blessings on all of you! Craig

Sorry to hear about Monte man. He sounds like a great guy. My best buddy growing up was Raff (black lab golden mix); I held him in my arms as they put him down - crazy how much we love these creatures.
The Duke is my best friend now. I rescued him as a pup and gave him to my wife with her engagement ring. He's a lab chow mix, which is really fun. He's almost 5 now, but he's still full of energy. Really loyal guy.
