5 Years Smoke Free
5 years ago today I made the decision to quit #smoking and turned to #vaping. It was the best decision of my life!
I was a pack a day smoker for 24 years before I discovered vaping. I bought my first kit on 2/25/12 and smoked my last traditional cigarette on 3/1/12. I am so grateful to have found this incredible, healthy alternative.

I got the notification. I've had this happen with other threads, even ones I've posted in regularly. Sometimes I will "unwatch", then "watch" again, just to remind the thread I wanna read it .

OMG! That first shower after a surgery has always been my favorite part of recovery... somehow it seems to speed up the process once you're able to feel clean all over

It felt amazing to take that first shower yet it also hurt like hell.

renzyb, what is a 360 spine fusion? Sounds pretty painful! How are you doing? Do you have help at home? I'm getting better, just takes patience (that I'm short on). But hey, I get to shower today!

Basically they had to cut from the front(stomach) move all my organs and vessels and nerves aside then tag in the ortho surgeon who fuses the front of the spine with piece of my hip bone. Then he tags vascular surgeon back in to put all said vessels and organs back in place, put the muscles back in place and facia (this is the part of your body that holds all your organs etc in) then staple my stomach shut. Then they flip you over and proceed with two incisions on either side of spine and fasten the fused bone in place with titanium screws and plates. Then close me up. Usually supposed to take 3hrs. But somehow I fell into that 1% of where if stuff could go wrong it did category causing the surgery to take a little over 9 hours. Ok sorry for the horrifying explanation but yeah.... that's what a 360 spinal fusion is...

My wife and kids have been amazing helping out. But I also have 3 nurses that visit twice a week. And I will be starting PT soon.

Been sorta rough for me as all the initial pain I had on the right side of my body/leg has now moved over to the left side. Dr ordered stat X-rays today after he removed my staples to make sure nothing shifted or moved to cause the issue on the left... he's hoping it was the extra hours of being in surgery that my body is still coping with all that trauma

Wow- just Wow- You have been through hell and hope the pain on the opposite side has to do with the surgery!
I answered your other post on the SauceLA- just hold on tight and try to be patient- the juice is worth the wait! Sure can't beat the prices and Sean assured that everyone would get their order!
I have ordered many times from them- and they are one of the better vendors that do care about their customers! Usually I get my order quickly but this sale turned into a monster! I am still waiting for my order to be shipped out too!

OMG, renzy! I'm sending lots of warm hugs and prayers for you & your family, that is so much to go through. Please keep us updated, we care.

Idk if I posted this earlier but got staples out today however.... heart rate and blood pressure has been crazy high as of late so Doc order X-rays stat to figure out why I'm getting all the same pain except on the left side now. Could be two things either something shifted( and they would have to do more surgery ) or body is still trying to get over the trauma of the extra 6 hours that the surgery took. And I need to get bp medication because it's been like stroke/heart attack high... great something else to worry about now.... just trying to stay positive and take it day by day!
