Hiya folks. I'm sorry but I don't have much time here to hang out.....we're dealing with more glitches than we ever thought possible! (I promise we tested this and none of these problems happened in the test......but there's no way to simulate hundreds of people trying to get 20 items, so there ya go).
Regarding these Black Friday deals. Some of these products are up to 82% off so we cannot afford to offer them in large quantities. For this reason, we posted an extremely limited supply of each of theses deals (ranging from 10 to 25 items but nothing lower than 10). Because these deals are so good, people are lining up on the website and waiting for their preferred deal to pop up. On some of these deals, like the Pluid or the RBFS 6-Pack, there are literally hundreds of people waiting for these deals to pop up! For example, the RBFS 6-Pack deal had 247 people waiting for the deal to pop up. The equation is something like this:
247 People trying to get
15 items
= Selling out in seconds
Now, I know there are going to be people who say "Why didn't you put more up? Why only offer 15 items?" My answer to that is, "Why put anything up?" We put up what we could afford to put up and we did this to make it fun for people to try to get something at a price they'd never, ever see in a normal retail situation. Believe me, there is nothing I would love more than to be able to give these prices to everyone every day. Unfortunately, I can only offer these deals to the select few who are lucky enough to get them before they sell out.
Yes, there will be times you have it in your cart and, when you go to check out, it's gone........because it sold out.
There are people who are logging into their account before the sale goes live and putting the items in the cart in advance. Keep in mind having in your cart doesn't "reserve" that item for you.......that wouldn't be fair to everyone. It doesn't get removed from stock until you actually check out. If we allowed this, it would give the people who put it in their carts first an unfair advantage. Let's say someone put the item in their cart last Tuesday......should they get the deal before anyone else? An hour ago? Twenty minutes? At what point is it fair? We posted we would release each deal at a certain time. This means the items, while available on the site before the deal goes live, are not committed until you have actually checked out. This means it is first come, first serve......as fair as we can possibly make it.
I have many people contacting me trying to get expired deals. We are able to determine if an order was attempted after sell out or if it was in stock when it was attempted. If your order was attempted after the item was sold out, I am truly sorry but there's nothing I can do. If your order was attempted while the item was in stock and it was unsuccessful due to a glitch, I promise we will make it right.
Please bear with us as we work through the numerous issues. I am personally looking at each and every order placed today and I will fix every error or glitch in time. If you have issues that are not addressed by tomorrow morning, please email me directly at [email protected] and I will get to it as soon as possible.
Thank you for your patience and understanding.
