Thanks to Prime Day, I got most, if not all, of my Christmas shopping done. Yea! Wishin' I could afford to blow $700 for the ninebot/segway mini that's on sale (reg. $999), though, cause that's cool! It's a hoverboard on steroids :)

Alrighty, DIYers. We DIY, but only a little. Maybe about 20% of what we use, and we use a lot... about 30 ml a day... As I stated to @outwest earlier, we're fond of vanillas, creams, occasionally lemon/lime (key lime=yum, lemon bar=yum), tart berry (strawberry lemonade=yum), marshmallow, and coffees as long as they don't stink. The occasional desert. Yogurts (to tart up other fruits).

In fact, as I write this we are poring over lists of flavors. However, there are so many... what would be your suggestions for flavors in the profiles I've listed. We use MyFreedomSmokes because I have an ampd membership there, and they carry a fair variety.

I await your responses with bated breath!

Do you like realistic fruits or the candy/artificial flavor....some are better at the real fruit...but like stem and all lol...do you have recipes or just basically starting...

key lime pie or strawberry cheesecake sounds like it might be up your alley. Or perhaps some of the mixes that use kiwi?

On the subject of Prime - if you ever have a Prime order that's late in being delivered, you can get a free month of Prime added to your account. You have to file a request for it (use the where's my stuff link and ask for it). Limit 12 free months added per year. I've gotten around 17 months free out of 'em. They're getting better at delivering on time, though :( :(

So far we've been trying to stick to simple mixes that we concoct. Looking at the online recipes is one of the things that stresses me out. I mean, some of these recipes use 76876897687574434 flavors. If I have to spend that much - think that much - I might as well stick to commercial juices.

Yeah, I hear ya on that complex recipe thing. Some of the ones online are more complex than they need to be, too. But, at the same time, some are worth it. What sucks is buying all the ingredients only to find out you don't like it.

What are some of your favs....I've started but then found diy always tastes better and it's like pshhh...idk why I was trying to clone that...this is so much better...so I look and read alot about flavor profiles and look at recipes as a starting point....it all so fascinating to me

I haven't stayed DIY yet but bought most of the stuff I need but need more flavors, I don't think you can have enough. I like custards, vanillas, strawberries, cream kind of stuff but don't think those will make it to me.

From what I've seen, some are nervous but hoping for the best, others are not worrying (or are at least pretending to not worry and telling their customers that it's no big deal), and some are scared shitless. But, I dont get out a whole lot.

If things proceed the way the FDA is wanting, I can't see mom and pop shops continuing to mix stuff behind the counter. The price for admission is too high.

Well crap. I discovered that if I used my Amazon store card, I could get that Segway MiniPro financed for 12 months at 0%, which was enough to push me over the edge into buying it. Now I gotta pay for the damn thing! Laf!

When I pulled into work today I was getting stuff out of my car when all of a sudden something knocked my behind right back into the car --- it was Buckwheat - the giant St. Bernard puppy that belongs to the lawyer whose office is next to mine.

Damn it Buckwheat I says - because she is still cute as a bug but clumsy as only a 100 pound puppy can be - how did you escape this time?

So I herd her into my office, figuring I'll call her "dad" after I go to the bathroom. So I'm sitting down to do my business when I hear Tony (my office cat ) snarling to beat the band and a very loud YELP!

I rush out of the restroom - blood everywhere!

Poor Buckwheat is bleeding profusely from her size giant snout, while :grumpy: is still curled up on my chair, already going back to sleep, lol.
