Ethyl Maltol ¿How, when,why?

Hello Underground Vapers, i'm new in DIY been around for a couple of months trying a couple of recipes, and just couldn't answer one stupid question that crossed my mind-¿does it make any difference if you add ethyl maltol or any other molecules you are working with, while you are preparing a batch, or after it has stepped?

Hello and welcome to VU.

I don't use EM or any other additives when I mix. I've not found the need for any. Some like to make their mixes sweeter, or find that some additives may enhance certain ones. Personally, I haven't found them necessary. If you're happy with the way your juice tastes after you've mixed it, you're doing it right.

Personally I don't really use it in anything. However, I use it in my wifes ejuice. She likes a mix of 4 fruits and the EM does seem to almost meld them together and takes off some of the bite from the mango. I use at the most 2%, anything more than that it will mute whatever you add it to it seems like.

Actually the question was, when to add the EM while you mix the batch, after you finished, or after it stepped? and if that makes any difference.

I would add the EM during mixing to help with flavor extraction and combination. But I'm a purist, I stay away from EM (and even PG as much as possible)

Oh, well I guess I never tried adding it other than during the original mixing process. I'm more of a custard or bakery type person so I don't really use it personally but wife says it kind of mellows out the fruits, or blends them together better than without it. /shrug
