Oh dude, I get it. I would be, too. I rarely win stuff, so I was super excited about this one.
Yeah, my original is such an awesome mod ... I want the new one so bad I can almost taste it!

I can't imagine it won't be just as good, unless there turns out to be some fatal flaw with the chip set.

So far, it's pretty much the same as the VTC mini, except for the clock, lol. I'm not able to do a full review, since I don't TC, but it has the same feel, and ease of use, as the first one. It also came with a silicone cover (clear-ish). Only one draw back so far, the 510 seems a tad short, quite a noticeable gap between my tank and the mod.

Wow that's quite the gap. Pardon my ignorance but what tank is that? Also, have you had the same issue with other tanks? That orange looks great btw.
The tank in that pic is the Goblin Mini v1. And, yes, I tried other tanks and they had worse gaps, actually. I guess it would be perfect for shorter threaded 510 tanks, lol. It hasn't affected the way it vapes, of course. Much like the eVic Mini, except you can program the date and time.

I like the color, too! <3

looks neat Huck, really like the color!
hopefully it works and holds off as well as your other VTC
btw I've been looking at your Golden Oreo Cheesecake recipe and am thinking about giving it a go
once I get all the supplies and flavors necessary to take on the DIY world, I will definitely put that on my to do list

Oh thanks! I hope you like it. I warn you, the original is REALLY strong. I mix the lighter version and even reduce that one, LOL.

strong in flavor you mean?
so long as it's smooth with minimal throat hit I wouldn't mind one bit, sounds pretty damn delicious from your description

Strong in flavor, yes. Smooth... hmm. I'm the wrong person to ask, I use high PG and a nic that is intentionally oxidized for throat hit. If you vape higher VG, maybe smooth. Tough call. @Markw4mms might be able to say. He mixes it and vapes high VG.

ahhh, yes I'm more of a VG person due to PG not working well with me. I'll ask Mark and see how his results are
Thanks Huck!

no worries, I messaged him as well. Thanks again Huck, I'm sure it's a great flavor and hopefully I'm able to get my DIY supplies pretty soon
to get down to business.

Not to send panic through your veins, but I'd consider that by August 8th, with things so unsure as they are. DON'T rush with DIY, but doesn't hurt to have things on hand, leave it all alone, and research, lol. And that's why we're here :D

I'm definitely doing it before August 8

The 510? I never noticed a gap with my first one. Hmm... I'll check.

Nope.... no gap with my first one at all.

The only thing that's gapped on my VTwo Mini so far is the Merlin. I used a KidneyPuncher mod guard and it snugged it right up. They're nothing more than a thin piece of flexible plastic stamped to fit a 22mm atty base, but it looks like you might need more than one for that gap.

I don't understand Joyetech's stubbornness when it comes to using crappy 510 connectors. After getting my Wismec (Joyetech) DNA200 Reuleaux and opening it up and looking at the ultra-thin wiring, crappy 510, no reverse battery protection daughter board (cheap battery wrapper ripping mechanical rings instead), etc. I swore I would never buy another one of their products (they basically cut every corner possible to keep production cheap). Seriously, how bad do you need to be to screw up a mod that uses a DNA200 chip?

It's VG/PG not PG/VG

They probably have like a million crappy 510 connectors stored somewhere, that they need to finish first.

Yeah, pretty substantial on both. Do those have a tacky side, or just place it? Good suggestion, thanks!!

Just place it. They do sometimes fall off when you remove the atty. Just about any plastic sheet would do, say a binder cover or the like, and trim to fit. I used a business card trimmed until they got here and I saw just how simple they are.

I picked up an Evic VTwo Mini after they were released because I was so happy with my Evic VTC Mini

I've never had a gap issue on the VTwo... but the VTC did or so I thought at first... Actually it's spring was just very firm and it'd never really bottomed out so I kept on tightening it up until it finally made it all the way down... after that, it never gave me any further problems with that.

I'd use caution if you try that... if it does feel like it bottoms out before the gap is gone, don't force it further... but if it is like my VTC's and was just a really firm spring ... it may be worth a try.

Just occurred to me (I'm quick like that). You could color co-ordinate by keeping an eye out for a snap on plastic lid in the appropriate orange. A hole punch from your local office supply (or the junk drawer) and an exacto knife and you're in business. That might be a little thicker as well.

Huck, I cut rings out of an old credit card and it worked really well.

What's the biggest atomizer the vtwo can use without overhang?

I've had a 23mm on mine that just barely, only the slightest bit, hung over. Looked fine.
Thanks, that's what i was thinking... Was looking at some 23's from vaperz cloud last night... The Prophet and Mini Buddha...

Was also thinking the silicone sleeve might makeup for the overhang...
I like the looks of the bigger attys but i think i can tone down the ocd a bit...

(To be alphabetically correct it'd be CDO)

Huck gave me a sense of hope for the 24 so im gonna go for the Goon even tho there's a 22, im just so teased to go bigger.

Well, after you mentioned having a skin for it, it led me to that belief. I've had a 23 on a pico and on the eVic mini and teh vtwo mini. Looked absolutely fine.

I don't
know. For the price I would rather get a smok cube 2 or their 220w box the h priv? I forget. The one with all the angles and the red firing button.

A lot of us had issues with the X-Cube II, some worse though I had a pretty bad time of it. Partly due to the implementation of BT for some aspects of mod control and updating.
Certainly SMOK hosed a lot of us owners with their TC mode policies.

But mine never worked right... it's half borked and all but unused now.

I'd think it prudent to investigate the Mini for anything similar.
The HPriv certainly caught my eye, being so many months later, but...

I have so many JTech mods now, I'm just used to them, and I think the current crop has more features than the previous SMOK offerings. Now? Don't know.

What I want is for the Pre-Heat feature to make it to the dual 18650 100TC (120W).
Barring that... I'd be looking at the new dual cell VTC (whatever it's called).

If you are trying to choose between the X Cube 2 and the H-Priv, get the H-Priv.
If you toss into the mix the X Cube Ultra, that'd make it a tougher choice.
I like both Ultra and H-Priv.
Ultras only negative is the battery door configuration however it comes in stainless.
The H-Priv doesn't have a negative.
Unless you are after something smaller.
Then get the Smok Alien.
