I've been vaping about 7 months now. Within a month of starting I noticed my eyes were dry and itchy. I figured it was allergies and went to my optometrist. She gave me some anti-inflammatory eye drops and some artificial tears. Some of the symptoms subsided over time but I still was experiencing dry eyes and had to always use the tears. I was checked by an allergist and he found no sensitivity to any of the usual suspects. About 3 weeks ago I suddenly got a massive black spider web floating about in the right eye right in my sight line. Back to the eye doc and she said it was a "posterior vitreous detachment" caused by old age. I'm only 64, not even old enough for old age pension. She said the symptoms would subside somewhat in 4 to 6 weeks. I'm still waiting. Yesterday I developed a floater of about the same size in my other eye again in my field of view. Off to see the eye doctor again! Does vaping cause this? I realize that the PG in vape is an alcohol and can be irritating to the eyes. At the first signs of dry eye (6 months ago) I switched to 80/20 juice but this hasn't stopped the worsening eye condition. Maybe I should give up vaping. What do you all think? Anybody else having similar problems?
