Hey folks... been vaping and DIY'ing for several years and always used Essential Depot VG, as they always claimed it was coconut based. Now that's changed, and it's palm oil based. (Some might not care, but the palm oil industry is responsible for massive deforestation and is creating an ecological disaster in South America.)

Maybe b/c they know palm oil is controversial (just a guess) ED also announced an alternative (as of April 2016): soy-based VG. However they only sell soy-VG in 4g lots, or 3g + 1g PG.

So went looking and found USP soy-based VG from Duda Energy. The company looks very cool and the USP VG is 99.7% pure. (ED says their [palm] is 100% pure but if you look at their MSDS on it, it's actually 99.5%.) It also has rave reviews from vapers on Amazon, where it sells for about $26/g (free shipping over $49 or with Prime I imagine) ..which is almost the same price as ED VG with shipping.

(As an aside, if you don't want to spent $49 on Amazon and don't have Prime, the 1g soy-VG sells for $16.50 on Duda Energy with $11.69 shipping, FED EX, probably pretty standard across the USA, though I checked for shipping to CA.)

So anyone here using Duda VG??

I'll answer my own post since I got a gallon of Duda soy-based VG and LOVE IT. I like it even more than the Essential Depot. I would recommend it heartily! Not only does it taste great but being soy-based and made in USA it supports USA farmers [I am assuming the manuf gets the soy from USA farmers since it's USA made], and does not require clearing tropical jungles or forests to plant groves of palms. That's a huge plus in my book. :D Amazon link here... but usually cheaper from Duda directly.

PS I am totally unaffiliated with Duda... just a happy camper. Er, vaper. :hearts:
