No problem. If you have a question about a particular recipe let me know.
Welcome back! I have been reviewing old recipes (from Hic and others) to see if I can use up my flavor stash,,, I have like 3 good recipes but these other people are better at it, and I should expand my pallet a bit lol.holy shit it's been a year and a half since I've added to this thread? That's disappointing. Anyway here's another recipe I just made that I really like, but will be tinkering with and supplying my notes on it.
70vg/30pg 5-6mg nicotine
4% strawberry and cream (TFA) [the strawberry to me doesn't taste like a candy strawberry, more like a strawberry flavoring you'd find in a dessert which I'm assuming is the point of this flavor.]
1~% cream fresh (FA). [always a good addition to most recipes]
.5% vienna cream (FA). [love the creaminess this adds to dessert recipes, a little goes a long way for me.]
2% vanilla swirl (TFA). [honestly not sure what I'm getting from this flavor. I might add more to see if the flavor changes. The vanilla is very slight. Might swap out for simply vanilla from capella or vanilla classic from FA as I think if I can get a strawberry/vanilla dessert flavor going I think this recipe will be perfecto.]
2% erythritol (no idea who makes this, it was accidentally sent to me from ecx) [first time using this in anything, next round I won't add it to see if it does in fact add anything.]
If you guessed this was a creamy recipe you'd definitely be correct. It is very creamy and I get the taste of strawberry more on the exhale than I do the inhale. I get a really good throat hit, but doesn't kick like a mule. It's a pretty sweet recipe, but not overly sweet. Like I said on the note for the vanilla flavor the vanilla is very slight if at all, but that could just be my taste buds are so accustomed to tasting vanilla I could probably drink vanilla extract and still not taste very much. This is my first recipe where I veer away from tobacco flavors and focus more on a fruity flavored dessert recipe and overall I'm very happy with the results. I hope you enjoy it.
I like the looks of some of your nut mixes on the first page. I've never tried FA Nut Mix. I always wondered about it, walnut, and hazel grove. I will have to order some.holy shit it's been a year and a half since I've added to this thread? That's disappointing. Got a bunch of flavors from Flavourart and have been mixing for a few years now, but have just recently gotten to spread out and try a lot of different things instead of just what i know works. Figured I'd share some of my hard work with people who have helped me out a lot even if they don't know they have. All of my flavors are Flavourart just to save some time. A note though, I let all of my recipes steep a minimum of a few days before vaping them. Please feel free to try and let me know how you like them
First recipe (steep time: 3 days on first try, tried again after after 4 more days)
1% vanilla classic
.6% chocolate
1% oba oba
1% 7 leaves
I think it needs the longer steep to smooth out the wrinkles. I really liked this one. Had some herbal notes which I'm guessing came from the oba oba and/or 7 leaves, but they were very welcome. Almost seemed like the flavors changed as you inhaled and exhaled. My friend said he'd like it more with a little less tobacco, but I barely noticed any tobacco at all. Maybe it's because i'm a former smoker and he chews.
Second recipe (steep time: 7 days +)
1% Ry4
1.5% Royal
.5% oba oba
.3% maple syrup
.5% nut mix
I liked it, but didn't quite have the kick i usually go for. Might try raising the Ry4 and Royal next go around. Otherwise I thought it was nice, sweet, with a little tobacco kick.
Third recipe (steep time: at least a few days)
.5% anise
3% watermelon
2.5% raspberry
3% marshmallow
I tried this both as a shake n' vape and letting it sit for a few days. It was pretty good right after making it, but I thought it mellowed out very nicely after letting it sit a few days. My friend also says he thought it was really good.
4th and 5th recipes (steep time: 7 days +)
1% amber
.25% anise
1% raspberry/ 1% watermelon
Me and my friend both really liked both. I imagine the amber and anise would go well with a lot of sweet fruity flavors.
6th recipe (steep time: 7 days+)
2.5% torrone
2% nut mix
.5% maple syrup
I thought this was really good. Friend thought it was really good. loved the caramelly, nutty, sweetness. Might have been too much nut mix though. I'm remaking this one with .5% nut mix and will come back later with my thoughts or someone else here can mix this up and share their thoughts.
7th and final recipe for now (steep time: shake n' vape, a few days, and a 3rd bottle i let sit for 2 weeks)
.5% maple syrup
.5 vanilla bourbon
2% Ry4
1.8% nut mix
definitely too much nut mix, sucked the sweetness out of the other flavors as a shake n' vape. After a few days it got sweeter and better, but after trying the 3rd bottle letting that one sit for 2 weeks it was damn good. HeadinClouds suggested I try adding some Maxxblend and lowering the nut mix to get the sweet tobacco-ey flavor i'm looking for. I made a revised version of this with his suggestion in mind and it should be good to go here in a few days.
That's all for now. If anyone tries my recipes please let me know what you think! good or bad. I definitely had a few recipes not listed here that were just... awful lol.
Was wondering on your Flavoring which suppliers did you use? I’m trying to put together the Top 30 Flavors and by which manufacturers. If you can give me your Top must have flavors I’d appreciate it. I’ve purchased everything but Flavoring because I can’t pull the trigger on which apple pie for example should I buy,Cap,TFA,etc.
So I wanted to see if you could help me so I have the Best Flavoring to start.
I would be greatly appreciating for your help!
Jim
