I'm off to West Marine this morning to try some ball bearing swivels instead of the cheap-o "Eagle Claws" that I bought for this attempt. From what I'm understanding. that could be one of my issues...

I'm now using that Daedalus set up to make mine.
Hell of a lot easier and they come out great.

Remove a few wraps and try it ...I’d vape that Great first effort! Better than my first attempt as well

Looks fine to me for a first attempt. I've made worse. Looks like far to many wraps though. 5-6 would be fine. More than that, and your wick burns out in the middle. A little tip, fused claptons are easier to make using shorter wire lengths. (they tend not to wobble so much near the end)

It was purely a first attempt kind of science experiment thingymabob.
I'm a tinkerer.
I did venture as far as to put it on a tab, then mod and fire it though.
Pleased to report: my house is still standing this morning.

when mounting coils, keep in mind also, that the closer your coil is to the walls of your atomizer, the faster your atomizer will heat up.
