Just recently came back to vaping after almost a 2 year relapse to stinkies. Upgraded to some real gear and am tobacco free now for over two weeks. I've been loving my Subtank mini but bought a Velocity clone in white which looks sick on my Sig150tc.

Here's my first ever build, just two simple coils, 7 wraps of 24g Kanthal. I was shooting for just under .5 and came in at .43! Not bad for a total noob!

This is my first RDA and it hits like a dream. I'm totally hooked. Here's my baby...

Thanks, it's funny too. I went right with 3mg nic from smoking a half ppd and don't have any nic cravings now that I'm using decent gear. It's a far cry from the old EVODs and CE style crap I used a couple years ago.

Very true! Good gear makes it a hobby too and keeps your mind occupied with builds and wanting to get better.

Congrats and this is the best place for any help needed.

I was gonna update this thread actually. How about a chronography of the past 2 months of vaping? Time moves fast!!
Build #2 tight twisted 24g on 3mm
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1446700681.085054.jpg
Build #3 Clapton 32/24 no Swivel used.
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1446700758.819896.jpg
Build #4 back to lightly twisted 24g
ImageUploadedByTapatalk1446700816.532360.jpg
Current build. Got some swivels and Ni80
This is fused Clapton 24g Ni80 wrapped in 32g KA1 on 3mm. Pushing the limit of the velocity and my mod, but it vapes like a beast.

New RDA came yesterday. The sexy beast that is the Twisted Messes Black and Gold. Simple 32/24 N80 Clapton on 3mm 8 wrap for .26 ohm. It's just great. ImageUploadedByTapatalk1447626278.612469.jpgImageUploadedByTapatalk1447626291.417673.jpg

I'm gonna keep the chronology going here. I appreciate everyone that's sticking around.

Back to the Velocity today for a second go at fused Claptons. I used 28g N80 and 34g KA1 for a smaller wire this time. I wanted something that would ramp faster. 7 wraps on 3mm gives me .3 ohms on the Velocity. Very tasty and ramps up very nicely.

That's fantastic! Did you make the coils or buy them... I have an RDA, and I'm thinking abt buying some, and then trying to make them. I don't have a Coil Master, and I think I'll make the investment before I start making them.

Is that a Sigelei 150W? And what RDA is that?

Yeah, and yeah. I built everything here, I don't use a coil master much, it's not great for claptoned wires, but you can do it. I use a drill, some fishing swivels and lots of patience.

Yes it's Sigelei 150TC which I would highly recommend if you don't have a high powered box, they have gone on deep discount as low as 60$ some places. It's still a good box and the red one is sick looking. It'll fire down to 0.1ohms which is low enough for some massive builds.

I loved my Sigelei but I found my Smok X Cube II 160W with TC and Bluetooth for 60$ online.

It's been a bit, I've kept on building. Haven't done a ton since these awesome coils last a long time.

Griffin dual fused Clapton. I love this RTA so much. It's phenomenal. Full sized 3mm coils in a tank. I barely drip anymore.

I love this 38g N80 for wrapping. It's just so easy to work with.

38/2x28g Ni80 dual fused claptons on the Griffin. Yum.

Nice build. Is the ramp up time pretty quick with the 38/2x28 clapton's? I've been wanting to try making some N80 claptons, but not sure what guages I want to try. Only have single battery devices at the moment with 80 as top wattage level. Want something that won't be a total battery killer.
