Flavor Art recipe help

Hey everyone,
I'm pretty new to DIY and have posted once on the forums for help getting my Flavor Art concentrations correct. I've mixed up Strawberry and Forest Fruit Mix as stand alone flavors and they turned out OK, but most of my mixes haven't been all that great. I started my DIY experience with just a few flavors, all Flavor Art. They are Strawberry, Forest Fruit Mix, Honey, Cream Fresh, Caramel, and Marshmallow. I thought something with Strawberry, Cream Fresh and Honey might be alright, but it didn't really turn out. I've been thinking of doing something similar but adding Marshmallow and/or caramel. Mostly, I've been vaping sweeter fruity flavors when I buy from my local vape shop. I'd appreciate any suggestions for a good fruit mix or even something that is more of a dessert vape, even just a push in the right direction since experimenting is the best way to learn. I'm not opposed to putting in an order for more flavors, but I'd really like to get a least one or two solid recipes using just the flavors I started with. Not sure if it affects the flavor percentages, but I vape at 6mg/ml and am using Vapers Tek 100mg/ml in 100% VG in my mixes. PG and VG are Essentials Depot that I got through Amazon.

What % were you using? A note about FA Honey. STRONG. I had to dilute that one down to a 10% dilution. That seems to work for a lot of people. I find that it takes over anything I've ever tried it in even at 0.5% I'm not a super huge fan of honey vapes.

You could try, Caramel, Fresh Cream and Marshmallow, a tiny touch of Honey, if you really want.
Strawberry, Fresh Cream and Forest Fruit

Eventually, you might want to look into adding to your flavor stash. FA makes SO MANY good ones. If you like other flavors, you'll be opening up your vape life. :)

For my solo flavors, I was at 3% strawberry and 4% forest fruit mix.

So if I dilute the honey with PG and was aiming for .5% in a 30ml mix that would be 1.5ml? Is that correct?

For your flavor combo suggestions, do those go in order of decreasing percentages? I.e. Highest percent of flavor in the mix is caramel then a little less cream and a little less marshmallow, or do you suggest equal amounts of each flavor.

Yes.

With honey, if you also found that one strong, you can put 1ml in 9ml of pg. Shake it up real well, use that as your honey flavor. If you want to use that in a 30ml mix at 0.5%, then you'd use 0.15 ml.

If you want to use FA Honey, as is, at 0.5%, it would still be 0.15ml in a 30ml. The diltion will be much lighter in flavor, obviously.

(Did I say all this correctly???? LOL! I hope I haven't confused you.)

That made sense to me. I mixed up a 30ml bottle of each. I diluted FA Honey down at the ratio you suggested. The honey in my other mixes was overpowering, but I liked the Honey flavor so I mixed 1% of the diluted honey in. I added honey to both mixes. For the other flavors, I started with 3% Caramel, 2% Cream Fresh, and 1% Marshmallow. For the Fruity mix I did 3% Strawberry and 2% of both Cream Fresh and Forest Fruit. I guess I can always add flavor later if it's not strong enough. Any recommendation on steep time? I thought I'd steep for at least a week. I've also seen a lot of different methods like letting it breath overnight the first 24 hours and then for 5-10 minutes each day. Do you find a particular steeping method to be more effective? I also heard that you can stick the juice in an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner for 10 minutes and you get the same effect as up to 30 days of steep time. I don;t have one but was thinking that for $20-$40 bucks, it might be worthwhile.

Most fruity blends are really good right away. Creamier mixes I find best within just a few days, really. If I'm in a hurry for one, I'll put a bottle in a cup of hot tap water for a few hours, keeping the water warm, shake it up really well, then let it come to room temp. Those are always better the next day or so, too. I don't steep with caps off, just a good shake when I think about it.

now what you could do is this
start with your base of strawberry put it in a tank
then start adding a few drops of say cream
see if you taste it
if you do decide if you like it
if not add another couple drops
repeat

keep track of your drops

depending on the size of your tank and how much juice you have in it
a couple drops could equal .25% or .5% or even 1%

ok so say you put 4 drops in and you like it
then add a couple drops of marshmallow
and repeat the process.

if you didnt like it
dump the tank
start over with strawberry try another flavor with it to see if you like it

I did this to build up my peach/mango creamy caramel goodness stuff i vape all day

also things like cream, usually wind up being closer to 1% flavor in most Fa recipes I have seen
same for marshmallow
caramel usually under 1% unless caramel is a main ingredient
