When I started building I was all over the map with wicking and even went this route you have with wicking and don't like it. Too much cotton IMO, but if it works for you go for it. Never be afraid to try new ways and styles then decide what works best.

i got agree with this. the cotton is going to be blocking the vapor from making it to your mouth, in other words it's acting as a filter to mute the flavor. the cotton is stealing most of the flavor

Yep, best flavor is with the air hitting directly under the coils
