Okay, So I am pretty new at the DIY mixing, and all of my testing is done on a freshly wick'd rda. I drip 80% of the time, and have been making my recipes that taste great in this metho. The other 20% I use Heracles or Isub sub ohm tanks and the flavors seem muted to me. Does anyone else observe this? Is it just that I am spoiled by dripping, or do y'all adjust your recipes to be stronger when using a tank? Friends who vape my juice in tanks all love it, but I am wondering if I can make it even better for them. Sorry for the long post...LOL

FLAVOR PERCENTAGE TANK VS DRIP

I do my testing in either one or two of my currently 57 RDAs. I've never experienced a muted flavor using my tanks. However, that might be due to using different sub ohm tanks, and switching between at least 3 flavors during the day.
It is my understanding that in general, dripping gives you more flavor. One school of thought has been to mix with a higher amount of VG for drippers and lower VG for tanks.
I don't have any of the new newfangled sub ohm tanks, just some RTA's. Some of my mixes have tasted better being slightly muted in a tank, other times not so much.
I would say if your friends love your mixes, then leave it alone and enjoy their joy.

no two things taste the same
a jusice is gonna taste different on an isub tne it does on a artic and different then it tastes in a crown etc etc
wicking coil resistance, coil material,airflow,coil style ALL effect flavor
so when you say it tastes muted on your tanks compared to your rda that doesnt surprise me
but just adding more flavor isnt necessarily a solution
some flavors change at higher percentages.
If you want to increase the overall percentage of flavor in a mix for your tanks
i would recommend making a flavor base
that is a bottle of just the flavorings mixed together in the right proportions
then if your total percentage for the flavor sis say 10% try making a mix that is 12 if your flavor base the rest is your normal vg/pg/nic base
technically you could just add a few drops of the flavor base to the tank when you fill it with the juice you use for your rda

I have a couple of rock solid recipes that I could mix up with concentrates only, and then adjust in that manner. Thank you all for the feedback, it reinforces my initial thoughts on the matter. I am super lucky that I can vape at my desk , and all of my coworkers are supportive of my quitting analogs...lol
