flavor west caramel candy vs tfa caramel original

I've been vaping exclusively flavor west caramel candy flavor for a few months. I have tastebud issues, and every other flavor I've tried, I either can't taste at all, or taste terrible. I can't taste the caramel candy flavor very strong, but I like the taste that I do get.

I've went through my 8 oz bottle of flavor, and its time to reorder. I can get 16 oz of flavor west for 25$ plus shipping. I can get 16 oz of tfa caramel(original) at heartland vapes for 13$. And if I order there, I can get some needed diy supplies too. Which would mitigate some of the shipping cost.

So the question is How different are the two flavors? Could I add sucralose or ethyl maltol to the tfa to make it more like the caramel candy flavor?

flavor west, CC ;)

@aarrgh you could snag the tfa sweetener and use the tfa caramel original..
but go easy on the sweetener, it really does not need a lot..

Just wanted to add I love salted caramel (TFA I think?)

lol. You'r no help! Now I have another option. Really I'm looking for a bulk order. Heartland vapes only has a 5$ 1ounce fw salted caramel. If I order from there I might try it though.

I have a few different sweeteners I can use. But I wasn't sure if that was the main difference between the two. I think I'm just going to order the caramel original and try it. The worst than can happen, is that I'll have to throw it in the nasty flavor drawer with all the others.

How do I multiquote here?

I'm not super concerned about diacetyl. I'm having major problems staying off the stinkys right now. So flavors with diacetyl is still WAY better than cigarettes. Maybe if I get totally off cigarettes, I will rethink my stance on that.

Thanks! I just tested a bit. The reply basically works like a multquote. You just have to click it on all the post you want. And it puts them in the reply box.

Edit LOL I didn't mean to multquote here. But I guess I'll leave it since it showes it can be done :)

Great it probably has diacetyl in it :(

FW CC has no diacetyl or AP, but it's 2.98% acetoin.

Mix 50/50 with FW Cinnamon Roll to approximate MBV Sticky Bun. Use sparingly.

Here come the FW/MBV trolls good luck I'm out.

Imagine that.. @Time :)

that is just one reason i don't like to use fw..
the other is i do not like mbv, because they mainly use fw flavorings..

cheap flavoring makes cheap juice and i want mine to be better than good! ;)

@aargh sorry your thread got jacked.. but i'd rather you vape safe than be sorry later..

i'd suggest stick with fa for now.. try it out and see if you can tell the difference..
we all taste things differently and only you would know if you can tell the change..

No problem. Its expected for any forum post to do that.

I'm pretty sure I am ordering the tfa. But it has nothing to do with the diacetyl.

I'm not worried about it, both because it is still better than cigs. But even more is that I can't inhale vapor at all. I don't know why but the no matter the wattage, or amount of vapor, If I inhale I will choke for 5 minutes. Even the vapor will get me occasionally if I don't turn my head away before breathing. So the only diacetyl that will get in my lungs is the little bit I get from that second hand vapor.

there has to be a reason why you can't inhale..
what is your set up like? how are you mixing?
have you tried vaping all pg and all vg for a few days?

and tfa is still better than fw.. imo :p

When I first started vaping a year ago, I posted about not being able to inhale on "that other place"® I tried everything suggested. Lower wattage, 100% vg, 100% pg with and without nicotine, cartomizers, tanks, cigalikes and probably more things that I'm forgetting. On low wattage and cigalikes, I can inhale a little, but if I take a decent drag, even they will make me choke.

I was an extremely heavy smoker, as in 3.5 to 4 packs a day. So that probably has allot to do with it. The only suggestion I didn't manage to follow, was that with time away from smokes, it might get better. I only managed to get down to 2 cigarettes a day for 8 months. It still never got better. Then with the good weather, I blew up, and started smoking again. I've smoked more and more through the summer, now I'm up to over a pack a day again, So that could be part of the problem, although its odd that I have no problem with inhaling cigarettes.

While it would be nice to inhale to get more of the smoking sensation, I have got used to not inhaling.

As for my smoking. I'm working on it again. For the last month I've been spending alot of time on the forums, Trying to reconvince my subconscious of how much better vaping is. And been been spending a ton of money on mods, and atomizers, etc. Then I can't justify to myself buying cigs :)

hits the like button many many times.. :D

you are a dual user :) lol.. and for now, that is ok.. as long as you keep trying to vape..
tell me, do you have a mech and a dripper? and just by chance know how to wick one?

Yes I have a few mechs, and a few drippers and can rebuild them(although I suck at it).

I prefer regulated mods though. I usually use and ipv3 and the big dripper. Since I don't inhale anyway, I vape at high watts(around 125 usually). It only takes about 1 second to completely fill my mouth with vaper. So even though I'm not inhaling, it feels more like a cig, Than my normal 10 second draw on a protank.

I don't know if it helps you in any way but, I puffed on my cigalikes for a month when I first quit. It had less to do with the vapor as it did just keeping my fingers busy holding them and I could hold them in my teeth, like an analog, when my hands were full. I called my cigalike my binky and I vaped way more than I smoked. It didn't even matter much if I was getting dry hits. Having them to draw on was the main thing, for me. The nic wasn't an issue, hell I could chew gum for nic. I still use my cigalikes for Harley rides because I can hold them in my teeth.

Cigalikes don't get much love on the forums but I'm not sure I could have have quit without my binky.

I started on an mvp with protank 2. So by the time I tried cigalike I already liked more vapor. If I could find a cigalike that was as light as a real cig, I might like it more. But the ones I've tried have been way heavier. So looking like a cig, but not feeling like it seems to make me a want a "real" cigarette even more. So I go the other way and use almost exclusively box mods.
