I didn't quite know where to drop this tread here or in another subsection in the DIY for that I apologize.... Well I picked up 30ml of this and was really excited about it.. Was really hopping it tasted like green monster. But I can not get it to... Does any one have any tips with this? Things I've tried... I vape at 6mg nic so all was at 6mg... I've tried 60/40 VG/pg at 5%10%&20%... Max VG at the same percentage... They have now been steeping for about a month n a half ... This juice is horrible in my opinion, to me it tastes like I went to a gas station restroom and took a few dabs of the hands soap and vapped on it... I may just toss the last 20mls (give or take) in the trash

I'm gonna move this to DIY General Discussion where it might get more views and maybe more help. I've not tried that one myself. Good luck!

I don't have that particular flavor but just tried my first Flavor West flavor in a test with 6 other brands and at 3% the FW was the strongest by far. This was a Caramel comparison but I threw in FW Dulce De Leche since it is in the same flavor profile range. Like I said this was the first FW flavor I have tried and if your flavor is as strong as Dulce De Leche then 5% is way too much, try 1 or 2%. I am pretty sure if I would have started at 5% then it would have been way too strong.

Here is my caramel comparison thread and the comment about FW is near the bottom: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/recommend-caramel-percentages.129559/#post-671884

I just remembered that I have tried another FW flavor before, waffle. Now I know why my Strawberry waffles with whip cream came out all waffle tasting and not good, I used 6% FW in that recipe. I did add about 3 drops of MTS vape wizard for the 12 ml left and then I could finally taste the strawberries and whip cream but still mostly waffles. I am going to try that recipe again but lower the FW waffles to 2%.

I don't know much about FW but the 2 flavors I have tried so far are really strong so I am betting that is why your juices are horrible tasting, too much flavor.

Most of the FW's I've had has been on point.... but this one oh my tasting like that liquid pink hand soap you find in schools n gas stations(yea I unfortunately know what that taste like) it wasn't really the strength of flavor more of the flavor of the flavor... Was trying to put together a monster and came across a thread about this being spot on... I was hoping I just got a bad batch due to the taste of it... And as it was a repacking 30ml I may pick up a sample size from a different distributor n give it another go...

Don't have this flavor so I can't tell you what it's supposed to taste like.

Makes me wonder if they didn't get all the soap out when cleaning their bottles before repackaging.

I'd definitly e-mail(or call) the vendor in question and explain the problem.

Just forget flavor west and go with stuff that works, and proven good quality.

That was real helpful...
Considering how shady FW has been with their disclosure, the craps roll of quality between batches... Yes the best helpful advise I could give.

FW is like the vuse of the flavoring world... absolute shit, but will do in a pinch nothing more.

Just because you hate FW's ethics doesn't mean all their flavors are shit.
And I've never had any problems from batch to batch either.
I happen to like many of them, as do many others.

I hate FA Bilberry, but I'm not gonna jack into the FA threads and claim all the FA brand flavors suck.

Your throwing out the whole line because you got a flavor you don't like, makes no sense. Could be that the vendor you bought it from made a mistake unless you bought it directly from FW themselves.

Dulce de Leche and Yellow Cake are 2 flavors from FW that I really like. My first experience with FW Waffle was not a good one but I am pretty sure it was my error and had the percentage up too high. Going to give Waffle another shot at a lower percentage and if it is something I don't like I won't stop using yellow cake and DDL because of it.

If you go directly to FW website they list if it has any bad ingredients in the product description, for Caramel Candy it lists "Contains 2.98% Acetoin" so I don't understand what you mean by being shady with there disclosures, maybe a vendor carrying there product is not stating that but FW does.

It doesn't matter to me if you use FW anymore but wanted there to be some more info on here to help others make up there own mind.

I used to use FW a lot but now, because of disclosure issues, only use a few. I always thought their flavor was pretty good!

Yeah if we went on how many of a brands flavoring liked by a person then I have to say poor FA would be my worst experience. But then you'd need to know I am not into fruits, candies, bakery, custard etc . . . to vape anyway lol. So it is not the fault of the brand I bought the most flavorings of. I just received a free 15ml of Candy Cane all ready made juice from Mt Baker Vapor - I did the drop on the fingertip test and OMG it numbed my tongue.:D So I will use it as a flavor additive - works for me.;) How did they know I wanted some FW Candy Cane?? :p

OMG, that sure narrows the choices down...

Lol, and just imagine, some people said they couldn't taste it, or Peppermint, at 10%:D.
Think I could get by with 1%, but still haven't tried it yet, I did the same thing you did, (only with the flavoring), and now I'm scared of it:rolleyes:.

Put a drop on your finger to taste it, or use a toothpick.
If it's a really strong flavor you can usually tell right away.
Milder flavors you'll have less of a taste overload.

2% for strong flavors, although a few flavors can be as low as a drop or 2.
5% for milder flavors is usually a good average starting point for an untried flavor.
But you're probably gonna need to make adjustment after testing.

FW Salted caramel is one of those for me - just handling the bottle, I smell caramel for 2 days. :)

Was really hopping it tasted like green monster.

Im in the same boat and im just waiting for flavours to arrive to test out this recipe I found with some good recommendations;

Green Monster Energy

Apple Candy TFA 0.8%
Cotton Candy TFA 1.2%
Energy Drink RF CAP 4.35%
Mad Fruit FA 2.25%

VG/PG 73.9/17.5

However I am super struggling to get Mad Fruit in the UK for a sensible price.
