You will love those!! He makes gooooood stuff! Glad to know I'm not alone with Joy.I've also placed an order with Mama J's for some pre mixed concentrates, which I'm very exited to try.
Huck, have you tried a full HIC recipe with Joy? I wonder if you are getting tobbacco from HIC's gooey coconut cookies? You will love those!! He makes gooooood stuff! Glad to know I'm not alone with Joy.
pickle would be awesome
I've tried it out twice in that recipe specifically. It's why I'm so sad with Joy. (weirdest sentence I ever typed as an expression) I've also tried it single and in another recipe I can't recall, wasn't the strawberry one.Huck, have you tried a full HIC recipe with Joy? Hi All! I haven't been on this thread for a long time but when I first started DIY, you were all very helpful in suggesting how to get started.
I order about 30 or so FA flavours, and mix them occasionally, but I have found my ADV is peppermint.
In Canada, a local supplier has FA's mild winter described as peppermint, and I have been vaping it almost exclusively for about 6 months.
I assumed it was diketone free, but is it one of the kitchen line that has to be reformulated?
Your advise is appreciated, and where I can get more info would also be great.
Thank you,
Tracy VM

Maybe my brain isn't totally working yet, but what does this part mean?Might be a infamous recipe but a...lol I don't know.......c.tw.od named starts with m secondary part Mellon...... Just saying
I used tfa & fw lor on that one. I have all 3 in that one so not for sure
Don't worry, I didn't get it either. I just got that the combination sounds delicious.Maybe my brain isn't totally working yet, but what does this part mean?
I took it as Cutwood, something Melons.Maybe my brain isn't totally working yet, but what does this part mean?
Ah, ok its a clone. Is there a reason we should disquise our clones?I took it as Cutwood, something Melons.
None that I'm aware of.Ah, ok its a clone. Is there a reason we should disquise our clones?
Thanks Huckleberried. I think I'm getting there. No longer got the burnt taste which is defiantly an improvement but Iv been playing around with a few of the fa flavours I have and I'm not really tasting any of them at suggested %'s so over next few days I'll try increasing them to see if that makes a difference. I'm enjoying the flavours there just extreamilly weak so it's probably my tastebuds.I hope you find the build that suits you with it. It's really a wonderful flavor.
Never tried Hangsen Creme. I must get someMaybe FA Vienna cream? I'm also partial to Hangsen cream.
Kidney Puncher sells a few, for different atties - maybe you can get one that's close and mod it. Or you can carve one out of a delrin tube from Fat Daddy's.Need some help with an issue I am having with a 510......
Is there a place/ shop I can order a new insulator... Manual not spring loaded......
Or convert mine to spring loaded
If it hasn't been very long since you quit smoking, I'm willing to bet that will drastically improve over time. I'm mixing at lower percentages than when I first started DIY. Also, when increasing FA, just go in small amounts, like 0.5% to 1% at a time. Good luck! Thanks Huckleberried. I think I'm getting there. I gave up smoking about 3 months ago and befor that was on and off for a year so your probably right. Have increased by 1% this time so I'll see how I go. A lot of FA flavorings don't come out for me very well by themselves, especially the fruits, but in a combination with others they will come out even at low percentages. If you want to test them you could try mixing a drop with a little warm water and smelling and tasting that. Thanks Huckleberried. I think I'm getting there. I smell them in the bottle just fine if any thing they are a little strong. Also the tinyest bit on my tongue is really strong. I have been wondering if it's worth trying one of hic's simple recipies and seeing if it works better for me that way but a lot of people give the advice to try them as stand alone when your first starting so that's what I have been doing. Although all the ones I have tried so far have been creamy or sweet.A lot of FA flavorings don't come out for me very well by themselves, especially the fruits, but in a combination with others they will come out even at low percentages. I spent many hours when I started making a million 3ml samplers of each individual flavoring and working them up and ended up very disappointed with what I got out of it. The water trick gets me the closest to how it will come across in a vape and its far quicker. I would absolutely just go ahead and start mixing some of HICs recipes from the get go. I have learned probably 80% of what I know from the recipes members here post and at least you will end up with vapable juices as you learn.I smell them in the bottle just fine if any thing they are a little strong. I can see how that would work. Iv been reading this thread from the beginning and picking up some good advice. Iv got a couple of bottles of store brought juice that I keep reverting back to. If I have no luck with what Iv mixed tonight I'll defiantly mix up a couple of recipes and see how I go with that. Thanks for the tips and it's good to know I'm not the only one that doesn't taste much from the stand alone so. Hi ferris. I would like to say I'm into sweet and creamy desert vapes. Or I think I would be until recently I was wicking wrong and getting a nasty burnt taste so I steered away from them. Now Iv got it right the burnt taste is gone but very faint flavour on the single FA flavours I have tried so far. But what I was vaping until recently was drink mixes and fruit flavours ( the later how ever was not really a great favrate of mine)@tatty29 , what's been your type of flavors you enjoy? Perhaps if you give us an idea on that end, we can point you to some good juices from vendors. As for the flavors in the DiY not popping "yet" each flavorant will be a tad different in how it reacts, etc. Some are mix and vape, but ones like Capella's Custard(s) CERTAINLY do better after a steep. (I've noticed Cap's flavors in general do better after a steep, though the sweet fruit lines (Sweet Strawberry, Sweet Tangerine, etc) seem to be just fine as shake-n-vapes)
If you try some of the awesome recipes that @HeadInClouds and numerous others have posted, and find them light on flavors, don't be afraid to bump the percentages up if needed either (just start by very small bump ups if you're using FA flavorings, as they are wicked concentrated!)... once your taste-buds return to the land of the living, you'll know if you need it made at the higher percentages, or if you want to back down. Its a fun journey, and once you start noticing flavors in foods you never did previously, its even MORE fun!
Main thing though to take away here is to not give up, and keep at it. Most of us that have been making good to great DiY mixes have been doing it for a while (Though I think some are just born mixing! Looking at you HIC and Will... you two are crazy awesome!)
Will keep experimenting and eventually I will get there. But if any one has any suggestions on sweet desert recipes then I will be greatfull for it.
