I saw that posted on one of the FB groups I visit... nice indeed.

CA on the other hand... Newsom will sign anything as long as he’s compensated.

A symbolic gesture that in reality means nothing?
At this point in time the flavor ban law meant nothing and was just a waste of paper law anyway.

Why would you say that?
There are thousands of PTMA's sitting at FDA right now.

Just because some took the money and run (or couldn't afford it) doesn't mean they all did.

Here's one I found on this forum earlier:

We will wait and see how it shakes out.

Registered SKU's are different from accepted PMTA applications or passed ones.
Registering SKU's was a separate thing. simple process and very little cost.

And remember we had hundreds of PMTA applications declined last year before the other deadline.

The story will be mostly told in 90 days.

Joe just posted this.
Very nice info here:

True if submitted and accepted PMTA application the specific product the PMTA application is for can continue to be sold for up to 1 year from application date or of course if rejected.
If approved YAAY!
PMTA apps and approval are for 1 specific item not brand wide.

Of course the ones whil did file something prior to 9-9 are getting up to 90 days from the FDA to sort out any problems with their PMTA applications. I expect may to be rejected during that 90 day period.
So how many apps beat the deadline will not be known for 90 days or there abouts.

And if the initial application was not submitted prior to 9-9 then the application must be approved ie passed for sale before the specific item can be sold.
so any current intent to file will not be allowed to be sold per deeming regs.

And I really hope that I am wrong but after reviewing the PMTA requirements docs a while back I am not sure that any juice not in a sealed pod or cigalike will get approved...
Same with the open systems they are for use in.

I wonder how many companies who do get products approved will end up selling their companies (Product Rights) to Altria or one of the other Big-Ts

Probably most. 1 or 2 products approved will not be enough to keep going on.

Most will just disappear silently and without leaving a single trace. Of all the ones that will no longer be profitable, only those specific ones that possess the type of private know how that has been proven to be highly effective at helping smokers finally stop smoking will be bought, dismantled, their tech knowledge locked away permanently in some vault the size of a house.
