Can someone help clarify the subject on flying with vape gear?

I am moving to Maui and need to know whether I can still check or carry on my mods and tanks, or do I need to ship them?

Anyone that can clarify whether the whole FAA thing is in effect would be greatly appreciated!!

I just had to look this up to fly for the first time with gear. Mostly went off with success.
  • Batteries have to be in your carry on luggage, out of of mods in battery cases. I think i recall seeing you were limited to 2 sets. I had 3 with no issue.
  • Max Carry-on liquid limit is 100 ml. Same rule as all other liquids your carrying on, they need to be in containers and then in a ziplock bag and accessible when going through security. See https://www.tsa.gov/travel/security-screening/liquids-rule Not sure about if your checking them. But you would probably want to bag them to protect other things in case of leaks from pressure causing leakage.
  • Tanks you should make sure are close to or empty. The pressure change can cause them to leak. I had them accessible and just for precaution popped them open for the flight. That was me being paranoid after seeing some people saying they had glass break from the pressure.
Something else I did I did not see mentioned when i was looking into flying. I had accessible all mods and equipment in an outer pocket just in case of security. And it was a good think. When i went through the Oakland airport, the xray baggage screener did not know what she was looking at and flagged it. The person who looked at it was not phased. I pointed out where everything was, all easily accessible and off i went, well in 10-15 more minutes.

I thought i would be more complicated leading up to it but it was not bad.
