A new week has started in Fortnite Chapter 2, Season 7, and that means more Alien Artifacts to collect. If you're looking to learn the locations of these elusive items before they're gone, simply check out our handy guide below.
Fortnite’s Alien Artifacts are floating canisters that, once collected, allow players to customize the new Battle Pass Kymera skin. We’re talking about new skin tones, eyes, mouths, and more. A few artifacts spawn in different places on the island once a week, hence this guide.
Only one person can pick up each artifact per match. At least, that seemed to be the case in previous weeks – if an artifact was missing, we'd have to join a new match for it to respawn. Because of this, each location is usually heavily contested.
Week 7 adds five more artifacts to Fortnite’s map. They can be found floating above rivers, hiding in bathroom stalls, out in the open, or tucked away in a watchtower. All you have to do is touch an artifact to collect them. The trick is knowing where to look. That’s where this guide comes in.
This artifact can be found inside the IO Base located directly between Craggy Cliffs and Steamy Stacks. It’ll be on the main floor in front of a large IO workstation, next to the stairs.
The next artifact is located on the southern side of Stealthy Stronghold. Go through the south entrance and take a left, going up the hill towards the top of the way. Grab some resources to build some stairs to reach the watchtower where the artifact awaits.
The third artifact is located northeast of Lazy Lake. Follow the river until you get to the bridge with a building on top. The artifact will be floating below the bridge (right under the suspended boats). You’ll need to jump off the bridge or build platforms in order to reach it.
The fourth artifact can be found southeast of Slurpy Swamp. Head to the edge of the map until you reach the IO Base there. Head inside and up to the second-floor bathroom. The artifact will be hiding in the rightmost stall.
The last artifact is located on a small island, south of Catty Corner. On the eastmost side is a small building with missing walls and used shooting practice targets. Head inside and up to the second floor. The artifact will be floating above one of the steel beams.
