I agree. Ceramic works for me using temp control. However, after some time, resistance jumps around and I ended up destroying a coil. But what I've noticed is that ramp up time is significantly less if used with temp control.Well... I'm running mine in TC mode for NI200, 480 degrees F, 53W, cold coil resistance 0.31 Ohms locked in. Works good for me. Don't know what to tell ya.

The attraction of ceramic for me is how it is hyped to be longer lasting. Up to 4x longer. And from my experience this is not true. Regular kanthal for me last around 5 days. Ni200 about a little over a week. Ceramic, so far, with 3 coils destroyed, lasts about a day and a half. If I'm mindful. Otherwise, I like the tank better than the pro and it has been my daily driver using anything other than ceramic.
