Frozen batteries ?

One of our Kanger e-smart cases with two batteries in it was left outside in the car glove box.. it's been below freezing for a few days now. Im planning on bringing them in and letting them sit (thaw) for a day or such.. but are they possibly ruined/dangerous due to the cold already ?
Not sure the exact battery type, this is a pen type with refillable tank.

RC folks store there batteries in the freezer and say it';s ok down to -4F. You can find lots of info on Google. I know that if you store batteries in the refrigerator They will store a lot longer than at room temp.

As a RC Helicopter flyer, I can attest to that. Some store theirs for several months, due to Winter weather, not being able to use their "toys". After two to three months, you might want to check them for proper storage charge though.

The refrigerator is more ideal than the freezer/freezing weather, freezing or below is a bit too cold. But as long as you let them warm up first they should be fine.

If I remember right lithium batteries will only degrade at a temperature lower than around -20C -4F

I'm assuming it hasn't gotten that cold yet so there should be no problem..

Thanks all for the replies. The batteries hit -10c at worst .. probably more like -5c.
They warmed up to room temp for a day and are now back in circulation.
My wife is just starting the cig to vape transition, so it would be a bad time for one to go "poof" on her.. lol

I usually keep my iJust2 in the car overnight. Now that its cold is there any issue just firing it up while cold? I wouldn't think so but I thought I'd ask. TIA.
