Bungie is making improvements to Vault Space in Destiny: Rise of Iron - but they won't be ready for release.
We caught up with the Destiny developer on the floor of Gamescom 2016. Asked whether the team is planning to deal with Vault Space, Rise of Iron's senior producer Scott Taylor told us "Not on day one." However, he offered the consolation that "if I open my phone right now, we're working on solutions that make that a good experience... We're working on it."
Vault space (or the lack of it) has long been a Hunter knife in the side of Destiny fans. They allow players to store armor, weapons, and other useful items, before having the option to transfer them between Guardians. However, the Vault's slots are limited - an issue that has been exacerbated by the slew of new gear available to collectors as new expansions have been tacked on to Destiny's palacial empire.
