gClapton coils are not Clapton coils

Hey, I'm not sure where to post this.

I just bought some of the gClapton premade coil units from Atom Vapes for my Kanger Subtank (http://atomvapes.com/g_clapton). They are definitely NOT clapton coils inside, it is a single wire. Very disappointing.

Also notable is that they advertise that their coils last significantly longer than others, at least 3-4 weeks. This is because they instruct you to only take 3-4 second draws and to wait at least 30 seconds between draws; this is only mentioned on the box of the product and no where in the product description or on their website.

Just went back and double checked, they are definitely advertised as being clapton coils yet the product I received definitely is not a clapton coil.

Did you remove the coil from the housing? I have some from atom vapes that are in fact clapton coils, crappy clapton coils, but clapton coils none the less. The Subtank gClapton coils use non resistive leads welded to the clapton coil so with out removing the coil itself from the housing you won't be able to tell. I think the coils are garbage but not because they are misrepresented.

More like false advertising if they are NOT Clapton wound coils. Someone else needs to verify this before it gets put on blast.

Don't know if you watched the video but the guy rips one apart and pulls the wire out. It's definitely a wrapped wire of some kind but thin as fishing line. He also talks about the flavor being very off and that could be due to all the other crap they have packed in there. It's worth a look if you have not done so already.

The taste is the main reason why I think they are garbage. I also don't think that they are gold plated, most likely a gold tone chrome, and don't think that the recommended wattage range is accurate for the tiny wire used. But they absolutely were clapton coils.
