Gear rta spitting like hell

hey guys,
I recieved my gear rta 3 weeks ago but till that day i cant get the wicking right.
Most of the wicks i did it leaked a little ,maybe only two or three wicks were good and it didnt leak..but regardless of did it leak or not it always spits back ...and i recognised a weird thing about that atty...i have to keep it upright while vaping on it so it won’t spit back ...if i held with an angle like any “normal vaper” it spits with every puff.
So how do u guys wick it cuz i am kind of pissed and want to trash that little guy right now.

let the cotton just slightly be through the wicking holes. dont fully pack it. gotta let it breath a bit. I absolutely love the gear. Run it at 42w - fucking butter!

Ur wick is all the way to the base or barely touching or not touching at all and above ?

I cut it right at the wicking holes. when you add juice, it obviously extents the cotton to slightly below the wicking holes

You may need to turn it upside down then right side up after filling it to help create a vacuum inside the tank.
Some RTAs are just like that.

I'm not sure because I don't own this one but it's worth a shot.

It may be possible that the coil placement is a little too high?

I did as mentioned above ....it helped a little...but still it still spits back liquid on the driptip every now and then
What is more annoying that it seems like the airflow slot stopper is fucked up...when i try to unscrew the base the airflow slot either gets out or keeps spinning in 360 and the base is stuck
This rta is driving me nuts i guess i will dumb it and get back to my beloved lotus rta.

Nah,its just above the airflow ...just like what i saw many reviewers do

If you’re running a Clapton try running it in parallel with regular round wire (26g or 28g)
