Geek vape 521 master kit and new builder

I've never built before. My kit and comp wire,along with cotton came in today. I put a coil on the Herakles 2 rta and put the deck on the ohm reader. The ohms come back at .37 . The comp wire is rated at .7-.8 . It's. 32 28 gauge tiger wire. I only have a single coil on the build but it's saying "f4" or low resistance on the ohm reader. What am I doing wrong before I put this deck on my mod?

It has a battery slot. Does it need a battery in it to fire? I don't know how a .7 coil registers .36 ... that's a hell of a discrepancy.

I ended up putting a second coil in it and it's registering .25 on my alien 220.
