With Sony Pictures' Hotel Transylvania 2 hitting theaters this weekend, I had the opportunity to speak with the film's director, Genndy Tartakovsky. Known for his work on Dexter's Laboratory, Samurai Jack and Star Wars: Clone Wars, the acclaimed animator has spent the last several years fleshing out his vision for classic monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man and others, in a completely CG world. This is very different from Tartakovsky's usual M.O., which is traditional animation, but the filmmaker has had seemingly no trouble in bringing his unique style to the CG realm. The results, I think, speak for themselves:
