I've been looking around on wizard labs site and I see the nicotine has different levels and I'm confused on which one to get and also wonder what else I need like which syringes ect. I want 80vg/20pg 6mg nic but I'm not sure where to really start.

I started out with Wizard Labs nic. I'm not trying to sway you to one brand over another, but want to say that their nic is kind of throat harsh in PG base. At least it was the last time I bought some. VG nic, I have no experience with. I'm a high PG vaper.

Since you vape high VG, I'd go with a VG base at a mg you feel comfortable with for starting out. You might even get a small-ish bottle to see how it goes for you. I started out with a 120ml of 48mg nic to mix with. Must have been the vape gods keeping me safe. I wanted 100mg, they were out of everything, lol. That size will last you quite a while, really, considering you vape 6mg. If you buy higher than that, you might want to consider getting a couple amber glass bottles to separate and store nicotine base, depending on what size you choose. You will also need to buy plain VG and PG for mixing. WL is not my first choice for those. Convenient to purchase from one place, no doubt.

I bought 3 of each, 1ml and 3ml syringes, and 1 5ml syringe. The 1ml, I had to replace more frequently than any of them. I didn't buy flasks, beakers or glass stirs. I just mixed everything directly into the bottle I was going to be using for the juice itself. You'll need plenty of little bottles for mixing samples, if you're into variety.

With flavorings... they do offer a large variety of TFA at pretty decent prices for basically a sample size (which can last a while). It just really depends on what kind of flavors you're into and how much variety you like to vape. There is nothing wrong with TFA flavorings. I own several, myself. WL have things for a really good start with DIY. If you decide it's for you and you want to grow a collection of things, there are better vendors out there, imo. They definitely offer one stop shopping, and a good way to start out.

The first nic I ever bought was wizard labs. It oxidized and turned pink. Thats the only time I had ever seen that, or seen it since.
It was still good.

Can you recommend the best place to get the supplies I need? I don't want to spend $ on junk even if it's got a good price tag. I prefer flavors like custards and such. Right now I'm really digging this cuttwood unicorn milk and it's really expensive and that's Why I was going to see about diy

Scout around on bullcity, ecigexpress, and myfreedomsmokes (There are others too) and find the place that has your vg, pg, nic, and the flavorings you want.
Flavourart makes great flavorings for many things, but their custard flavor is, umm, weird nothing like custard really. Capella makes the best vanilla custard, and if you dont like the custardy chemicals, you can try their vanilla custard v2, which I hear is good.

Check out some recipes you would like to make, then buy the flavors. Just go easy on your sanity, start with flavourart, then branch out depending on what you are looking for. Personally, I love tfa bavarian cream and ry4, but those are the only tfa flavors I buy anymore. I learned the hard way.

If you need anything, please send me a pm and Ill tell you whatever I know, or help you find out.

FA Custard is only weird if you're expecting a vanilla, lol. It's actually quite useful in fruit recipes or if wanting to add a creamy citrus note :)

I'm with Pauly on suggesting FA. They do make great stuff, but they're also not the only good flavoring company. They are my main arsenal, lol. I also use TFA, Capellas and Inawera. The bulk of it is definitely FA. Each of them make flavors I don't want to be without.

Bull City has a HUGE variety of flavorings. I placed a small order there today, myself. If you want to sample FA flavors, I highly suggest Mama Js. His samples are $1.50 for 3ml, $2 for 5ml and he sells specialty flavorings - I've made several of them and they're all really good, incredible people, too. That little amount will last a REALLY long time, they're very concentrated.

It's honestly pretty overwhelming lol. Do they have good syringes? That's all I need right?

you just gotta search man. Sometimes they have coupons, sometimes they dont.

I also highly suggest mamaJs. Just click on my signature.
They currently only carry flavourart, but the flavorings and shipping is so cheap, or free over $20, that its totally worth it. 1.50 for 3ml, 2.00 for 5ml, and 3.00 for 10ml . They also have 'specialty shop' flavors, which are preassembled flavorings, just mix the suggested percentage and rock on.
Ive tried both the cherry pie and bananna bread, both are perfect at the suggested percentages, and taste spot on. 15percent off specialty flavors today.

I concur with the FA custard, its great with my strawberry mixes, but not vanilla'ey at all. I tried making an 'all fa' vanilla custard, and it turned out to be an 'all fa' lemony cream.

So if you get your FA from mamaJs, and your other flavors, nic, vg, pg, exc from myfreedom smokes or bull city, youll be all set.

For measuring equipment, do you have a Tractor Supply near you? They have every size syringe from 3ml to 60ml, they are all I ever use.

I measure by weight now, but I'd have no issue ordering syringes from Bull City if you can't find them locally. Permanent coupon code VU6 for 6% off.

I've tried several of Mama Js mixes. All really good.

Oh dude! You should order the S'berry Custard. I never had Unicorn Milk, but I bet you'd like it. Super creamy, vanilla-y strawberry custard.

3ml pipettes come in very useful too, espsecially for topping up smaller bottles - tweaking flav con and nic levels. You can buy a box of 50 throw aways or if you want they're very easy to clean out and reuse - dip it in warm water, suck, squeeze and shake.

hahaha FA Custard, oh man. they really need to say LEMON custard on the bottle. I was like @Pauly Walnuts . Custard was one of my first FA flavors I tried. I was like what the $%^&*^%$#%^^ is this !!! I put it away and didnt touch it for months and months. Then I was talking to HIC and he told me that is custard to Italians. Its lemony. I tried it again with some lemon sicily and wow. so good. think lemon when you vape it not vanilla like @Huckleberried says. FA custard has an awesome texture. I'll tag @Hobby Kid to why not, lol. my favorite mod :) hey dude hope is all is well out there.

hello @wllmc all is well, thanks. I like the sound of lemon with my custard. I'm getting bored with custard on it's own now. Time to up the ante and risk ruining liquid all over again. Where did that big bushy beard of an avatar go?
