I just bought a TFV4 Mini tank...what would be a good MOD to run with that? I have a Joyetech e-Vic VTC Mini I a running now but it only goes to 75w which I think is too small. What would you guys recommend? Sorry for noob question, I am rather novice at this so please be patient :)

I like running it on my RX200. It looks great in black with a black TFV4 with a black replacement glass in it, plus obviously its got all the power you could need for the TFV4. Does TC if thats your thing too. Long battery life. Plus its heavy, so you could beat someone to death with it in a pinch lol. Great mod, and its pretty cheap, can be had for around $40.

Guess it would depend on which coil head your running in the tfv4. I use the rca head with single SS clapton at .55 ohms. 30 watts in tc gives me good clouds with my evic mini's.

I was using the tfv4 mini with my rx200 for awhile and it showed up on my screen saying atomizer low. I didn't really understand what it meant, so I just unscrewed it and screwed it back in and kept vaping. It happened a second time and I got really worried, I posted a thread about something completely different than this, but I remember bringing it up to the good people on VU, I was told that the 510 pin on the tfv4 is a bit longer than most tanks, and it was shorting out my mod. I eventually came across the links above and it scared me because I have no idea how to replace a 510 connector, so I just went out and bought a new tank for my rx200. Even though it was cheap, I didn't think it was worth losing a mod over a tank that in my opinion, wasn't the best one I've used.

Oh dear...in all honesty, I am not happy with this tank from the start but I paid for it and am stuck with it now....wish I had not bought it now.

there are so many coils for that tank, the rebuildable head, I run at 50w, the single coil head I run at 55w. Some of the coils I need to run at 100-125 watts.

Really it depends on how cray you wanna get. That tank is great from the aspect that you can literally vape any way you want with the one tank. From mouth to lung, to high power direct lung.
that said, Technically, any mod you buy, can run something on that tank. The vtc, shuld be able to run the single coil and rebuildable head just fine.
personally I use dna200 mod. I'm not so sure that you want to start playing with triple 18650 mods yet, but if you do, the rx200 is a god one. Also the Ipv5 is said to be pretty good, or the eleaf tc100 all are inexpensive options.

edit, ive had zero issues with mine and its run fine on everything from a mechanical, to an eleaf100 to a dna200. Not that I'm a tfv4 whisperer or anything, jut sayin.

Don't get me wrong, it is a good tank. I just expected the flavor to be better. I'm sure there are better mods suitable for that tank, but I just figured you should be aware of what happened to me. :)

I ordered the RX200 today actually...really like the reviews and personal experiences I have read about it....just not sure on the tank, it may be a bit advanced for me.

The guy at my smoke shop said the Clapton is awesome for flavor, but I haven't tried it and honestly I don't really want to use that tank especially with my rx200. But that's just me being a worry wart. If I come across a suitable mod for the mini, I will let you know asap.

I love that mod, the only thing is, my snow wolf (2 18650 batteries) gets better battery life than my rx200 which is triple..

it can be complicated or easy. it all depends on what you try and do with it.
If I were just getting going, I would stick with the single coil heads for now while you find your way and branch out. It really is a great platform to learn on. if memory serves you were using a nautilus before. Going from that to this, is like going from a bicycle with training wheels to a brand new Camaro with all the bells and whistles.

Don't worry about the tank. That thing has a lot of options to suit any style of vaporer.

so what should I do here lol. I have a rx200 on the way to use with the TFV4 mini...which is should not be used with....so, ditch the tank and get another one to go with the rx200? or take my chances with the rx200 and TFV4 mini combo? decisions decisions....

either get the single coil heads for the tfv4 or get something like an aspire triton. the 0.4 triton heads run terrifically at 40w. ( just like the single coil tfv4 heads)

I mean a lot of people haven't had that happen to them, but it happened to me and from what I've read and what people on here have even told me, I won't use them together. I am not trying to make your decision for you. You should be fine though. I tried the quad coil because I'm more into clouds, but I expected the flavor to be better than what it was. I do want to try other coils with it, but only when I find a mod I feel is going to be alright with it. My friend has the regular tfv4 and he uses it with the smok xcube II, he's never had a problem. But don't stress over it, you should be fine, especially if you don't have the money right now

I cannot afford to blow out a MOD over a tank....would rather buy the right tank for the MOD.

Do you mean what tank? All day I was using the herakles plus, I just put on my arctic that I bought specifically for my rx200 because my herakles was almost out of juice and I'm too lazy to fill it right now, lol

I have been using my TFV4 on my RX200. I tighten it down until I feel barely start to snug up. I don't force it at all. I'm having zero problems. If you're worried about it, though, you could always get the lower power coils and use it on your evic. I forget what they are called, but they are designed for lower wattage. You can find something to run on any mod. There are like 12 or 13 different coils available, plus 4 different rebuildable decks.

I never ever force my tanks down I always screw it in where it's still easy to unscrew and I got that message on my screen twice. The arctic works wonders on my rx200 and the flavor is amazing amazing amazing.

The wife and I like ours a lot better since we got rid of the diesel tailpipe drip tips, and put realistic sized snout tips on them.

My boyfriend has the turbo and the koopor plus. The turbo is amazing as well. I really like the arctics a lot better than all the mainstream ones. I have them all, the crown, herakles, tfv4, and the arctic first gen. Me personally, I love my herakles to the death of me, but I'm really starting to lean towards the arctics

I wouldn't order it from that website, I was just showing you a picture of it. I payed like 25 for mine in the smoke shop. Look around for a better price! I just got it about 4 days ago and I haven't tried any other coils yet, ask ratracer, he might know more about it

Does it say what wattage you can run both of them at? I believe, I might be wrong, the .2 will give you higher wattage

I would pick .2 but that's just me. I like to have extra leeway even though I never go over 80 max.

which is better coil choice... .2 or .5
I'd start off with the .5
I don't TC, and I actually use the 1.2 coils regularly, but use the .5 occasionally. I came from old school stuff, so the .5 is kinda amazing on the cloud front, but hate sucking 30ml a day for the same nic fix.

That's one thing I did notice, that tank is a juice guzzler, ratracer has had more experience with that tank so you might want to take his word for it.
