Strange. I grew up in and spent most of my life in N.Virginia, less that 30 min outside of DC. Many people do not know this, but n. va has a very large south american population; mainly from el salvador and honduras. We also had quite a sizable amount of MS13. In fact, the famous case of the where a member had their arm hacked off happened right behind the condo my family and I moved from just a couple of years ago (that occured years before we lived there). And aside from the very small number of bad apples, the south americans were hard working, family oriented people who were an important part of the community. They ran businesses, bought homes, cars and basically became an integral part of the economy. They worked like dogs, the appreciated the country just as anyone else and wanted to be Americans. If that's the standard, they should be able to stay as well.

I'm sure I will get flamed for it and called every name in the book but that's my experience, can't speak for other places. I just know that most of them were like my family that came here. They were not part of some globalist plot to destroy the fabric of American culture or identity, they were just good, hard working people who wanted a better life for their children. I'm yet to experience the throngs of bloodthirsty, rape happy illegals who scam the system despite a big fat check from George Soros. I agree we should have a strong immigration policy and people should come here legally. I also know that corrupt politicians have used this issue to cause divisions and pass blame since the beginning of time.
Just watched a very insecure Oprah Winfrey, who at one point I knew very well, interview a panel of people on 60 Minutes. The questions were biased and slanted, the facts incorrect. Hope Oprah runs so she can be exposed and defeated just like all of the others!

That is the standard for a legal immigrant. Nobody has issues with legal immigrants, from anywhere.
By definition, an illegal immigrant does not meet the standard. They have broken many laws. And it doesn't matter what country they came from. They should NOT be allowed to break the law and stay.
