They should raise the age of joining the military to 21 . If your too dumb at 18 not to drink or buy a gun your to dumb to go to war and die for your country.
How stupid is it that you can shoot and kill multiple enemy soldiers at 18 . Yet it would be illegal to own a gun in civilian life ?

From what I have seen, most people live with their parents until they are in their 20s. They are too immature to handle the real world. The military likes them young, because they are easier to brainwash. I am sure that if the military raised their minimum age, a lot more youth would be homeless, from parents kicking them out of the house before they are mature enough to handle it.
Out of my brother's 4 kids, the 3 boys are in the military. The girl got a rich boyfriend and already had a kid with him.

This new tack that north Korea is taking is one engineered by Putin.
When I first joined the Corps even if the state law was 21 you could still drink on base, hell they even had beer vending machines in the barracks. Well Mothers of America changed all of that.
Anyway yeah such bullshit along with tobacco and now vaping states are bumping that up to 21. There needs to be a push to up the Draft age to 21.

That has nothing to do with the 18 year olds maturity, it has to do with poor parenting.
Most people did not live with their parents until their 20's and they handled the real world just fine. But, that was back when parents, rather than schools, prepared their children for the world.
Children today certainly have problems. But the problem is not that they cannot be mature. The problem is that they are allowed to not be mature.
Just because the youngsters YOU know are immature brats does not mean the youngsters I know are immature brats. My brothers kids do great with their guns. And they ain't even 18 yet. My neighbors kids are awesome, respectful, mature and gun owners. Great kids from great parents. And they don't need you to tell them otherwise.
You continue to coddle those young adults around you and live with their immaturity. You can always blame the kids for how they turn out. I blame parents for the most part and I'm not about to advocate taking the rights of good, well adjusted young adults to make up for your failures.
