To start sorry if this is not the correct section or sub section.... Here lately ever juice I make is quite harsh... Not throat hit but harsh kinda like sand paper to the back of the throat... I have been vaping on mutation x v 4 duel 26g 9 wrap 2.5mm @.44ohm Japanese cotton..bottom air flow blocked 18° wide open lung hits on an I stick 100 @ 50 w... Juice has varyed in an attempt to resolve... Originally it was 6mg vg nic with no pg added just flavor @ 20%... Since then I've dropped it down to 3mg then to 0mg nic and 10% flavor... Using bcv VG, heartland nic, tfa flavor... I've picked up some MTS vape wizard yet still persist... Went to the doc to check on the possibility of health factors none ... Current recipe is key lime 3% graham cracker crust 2% milk/dairy 5% all tfa... Secondary recipe is 5% vanilla bean ice cream 3% strawberry and 2% milk/dairy... Also on 10% fw cookies and cream... Thank you kindly for your time.. To be honest this sounds like an "environmental" issue like I'm getting sick or something but is there anything else I can try to smooth it out some

I've tried the VG nic straight up but that when I first got it.. Maybe I should give it another try... And hydration I didn't think of... I have been drinking more soda and less water then normal

Have you tried your VG or PG on their own and with nic added? Sounds like you're doing everything right. Staying hydrated?

Best advice right there. Try your vg by itself without the nic. Then the pg/ or add it to the vg anyway and try it. Then add the nic.

Another question? Are you making your mixes and vaping them immediately? Some flavors have a strong alcohol taste. Best with those leave the cap off awhile after shaking to let the alcohol evaporate. My opinion anyway. I've had some mixes that were strong right away like that but mellowed after a good night in a cupboard with the cap off and then letting them steep another day or two.

Even though you got a good checkup from the doctor doesn't mean something isn't irritating your throat either. Have you tried non diy (juices from brick and mortar or online from common brands)? Do they irritate your throat too?

Just keep going one thing at a time...process of elimination. Good luck. If you can last without the nicotine without wanting to claw someones face off maybe try a day or two cold turkey and then try again. I know that sounds like good advice, but I know I couldn't make it doing that lol.

Thanks for the replies....yea VG/ VG and nic are good no real irritation.. But that was after a rebuild rather then just a dry burn/rewick... I don't have any non DIY juice haven't bought any in a few years... I did win some from DIY flavor shack (huge thanks to Jim, those at flavor shack and vapors united for the giveaways they host) but the wife has already burned through that.. I do steep my juice and let them breath as well... After the rebuild it did mellow out a bit still kinda rough.. Dropped the wattage down to 35 and it mellowed out a bit more... I may just vape on the VG/nic with no flavor for a month or so till whatever I'm coming down with heals up... I think the issue have been a hot spot combined with the flavoring irritating a cold I may be getting... I was thinking it was the juice cuz the wife said it was doing it to her as well but after I rebuilt hers she said it was better thanks BigNasty... Huckleberried what part of ky you in? I'm about 30 min south of Lexington you anywhere close?
