Having trouble getting into MTL !

Hello everyone, im a long time vaper, and recently ive been looking for methods to make my vaping more healthier/discreet, and ive been trying to switch to MTL, been DL since i started vaping 3 years ago. And no matter what build 0.35 to 1.10 ohms, round wire, claptons, fused claptons, wattage setting or ejuice vg/pg ratio or nic concentration, the throat hit just kills me, i cough almost every time i do a drag, more loose airflow helps a little, but kills the flavor and too much airflow for mtl settup kinda makes it hard to get a quality vape. (currently trying Siren v2, i ordered a kayfun prime sxk clone to try that also)

it's supposed to give you a throat hit....the early atties or the MTL atties were designed to give you a vape that mimiced a cigarette, to help people quit smoking, and so they were meant to deliver a good throat hit..if you don't like the throat hit use more air or more VG or less nic. There are plenty of atties that sort of bridge the two worlds and give more airflow without being all out DL atties. The other thing is getting used to taking smaller drags or pulls and using higher nic levels..that takes a little getting used to. I have atties with tight draws and ones with say restricted lung draws, and switching back and forth between them takes a little adjustment time.

I have been vaping only 70vg 30pg juices with 1 nic or 3 nic, on direct lung hits not a problem at all, but when i try them on my MTL atomizer it kicks like a mule, i watched a few reviews on youtube for my siren, most guys vape it with like 6-9 nic on the tightest setting and do big drags, when i try it on the same air setting, it just chokes me like hell and i can barely produce any vapor, i guess i have to try it with more air and get used to the throat hits.

yep it's called Mouth to lung for a reason you got to sip the vape, no direct lung hits..most people who MTL vape either like the throat hit or they are flavor chasers and they savor the flavor of the vape in their mouths before inhaling it can be real fustrating to take small hits and little vapor compared to cloud chasing. long slow pulls instead of the fast deep aqualung pulls.

If you mix try nic salts for a smoother hit. Maybe look into a pod or AIO that has both mtl & dl, might be able to find a happy medium.

Exactly this. The draw needs to mimic the way you'd draw on a cigarette, not a direct inhale.

I use tanks that offer a restricted DL kind of draw, but close the airflow down, and draw like I used to draw when smoking. Airflow adjustable, to allow finding what I like, or even to adjust down, in your case.

Great flavor, perfect draw (for me). Good luck!
