Having troubles with gettting coils to heat up (super slow aswell)

So, warning, i am rather new to mechanical mods. With that said, i bought this mod this morning, charged up 2 different batteries (it came with 1 and i bought one, although it is only a single 18650 device (called the Chi You)) and i have checked the connections, cleaned them up, and tightened everything down, and i have a .5 dual 24g 7 wrap around a 2mm, and it takes FOR EVER to heat up, i am talking like, 5-10 seconds to glow (obviously without the wick or juice) and when i did try to wick it and juice it, the vapor production took about 4-6 seconds to even start, and was minimal at that. the batteries i am using are 3.7 volt, 3000 mah batteries (1 is a listman(the one i bought), and the other is some weird one ive never seen before) neither seem to change anything. Any tips/tricks/solutions? i can post pictures later on if needed.

Can you post some pics here? Tops, bottoms and sides of the batteries. If you angle the batts just right, you can get away with two photos instead of three.
Also, the amp ratings that are on the battery wraps if they aren't noticeable in the pics. That Listman probably says 35A or 40A correct?

The slow ramp up time is from your build, it's going to take a while to get those coils going. However, before recommending an alternative, need to know what those batteries are. Take a look at Mooches battery tests and do some homework on what your using. If Mooch hasn't tested the batteries you have and they are not LG's, Sony's, or Samsungs then whatever the specs say on the wrapper is dubious at best.

Knowing the actual specs of your batteries is super important, especially with mech mods. Without knowing this, it's impossible to recommend a build that will heat up faster and be safe.

What you really have is a .25 ohm build. 7 wraps of 24g at 2mm will get you a .5 ohm single coil. Running dual cuts that in half. Lower than what I would want to run on no name batts especially one that claims 40 amps and 3000 mAh. Sounds like massive battery sag. As a side note if you plan to play with mechs an ohm meter is an absolute must.

i actually was using my ohm meter, and it was coming out to .5, so maybe im an idiot and counted my wraps wrong but it is reading out at .5

To get .5 ohms with a 24 guage kanthal dual coil it would take 14 wraps per coil. That is going to take forever to heat up. If your going to run a .5 build try a higher guage wire like 28 or 30. You will lose surface area, but ramp up time will improve.

Listmans are Chinese batteries. More specifically, they're coming out of Shenzhen, and all those batteries are filled with mystery, sadness and lies.

Your top cap looks odd, and is the third I've seen on a Listman. So they could be rewrapping b-stock from one or more of the respected S. Korean or Japanese companies. Or breaking apart battery packs meant for other electronics and rewrapping them. Or using Shenzhen-made batteries of questionable quality. Or a combination.

No matter where they're getting the cells, they're definitely inflating the specs. And I'm pretty sure no one like Mooch has tested one yet, so there's no way to know what's going on. Who knows... that could be a 15A or 10A cell.

Go to a place like liionwholesale.com and get one that StereoFreeze mentioned. You can get legit batteries cheap, so there's no reason to buy rewraps/Chinese batts.

Good lord, there is no such thing as a 40 amp INR battery, please buy new batteries from a trusted source so you're not the next one in the news because of a pipe bomb explosion.

Like StereoFreeze says you're gonna need 14 wraps per coil with 24g and a 2mm diameter to come out with .5 ohms in a dual coil setup. If this is the case then it will take forever to ramp up on a single 18650 tube mod. Quite a difference between 7 and 14 so I figured an ohm meter hadn't entered the equation.
