Just got the HB mini. Just wondering what kind of 18650 battery to get for it. can't find anything saying whether I should get the flat top or regular

judging by it's specs and power output anything with a 20amp continuous drain rating or higher should be fine...I'd get an LG HE4 or a Samsung 25R, those should serve you quite well

Also consider the new LG HG2. It's 20A and 3000mah.
If that mod is a dna 40 then it will draw 12.5A at 40w, add 10% for losses and you're well in the limits of the HG2.
As suggested the other 20A LG and the 25R are amazing too.
