Wouldn't buying the chip make more sense? It's like 80 bucks.
Btw, Welcome to VU...

I have a vt200 and it built very well. It's hell of lot better then any Hammond box build. Just stick with the mod. It's small and light.

Yeah, I'm liking this mod. When I can work it into my budget it will be mine.

Myvaporstore has all three colors in stock. If I hadn't preorder I would have gone blue. It's a very sick as tits color

I do indeed like the blue..However, black will look best with most toppers.

Yeah this is a great little mod. Buttons are nice, Evolv as always been stellar. Never could get my hands on one due to the mods were so expensive. I was quite surprised that Hcigar used an evolv chip. However i want to get into building my own. Seems like a nice hobby to get into.

Build quality looks to be like a tank although I'm not holding it, it looks stout:)

Yours is tarnished? Mine is super shiny and hasn't changed all week. It's definitely high quality brass.

Hcigar VT200 and a Smok TFV4 are both out for delivery. Can't wait to get home. You just have to love vape mail :)

Cheers,
Steve
Just a heads up. Check out VapeNW online they have a coming soon on a spare battery for the vt200 for about $20. Still waiting on the Hotcig spare. Oh well.

My Hcigar vt200 should be delivered tomorrow. Cant wait. Took me a long time to decide which dna200 to buy and was really considering waiting for the whiteout DNA, but after reading the blog posts on their website, they haven't even started building them. Seems like by the time they get everything up and running, the dna200 will be obsolete. The Hcigar looks well made and I love the fact that they will be selling extra batteries.

For all those who own them, how easy is it to change to SS or Ti temperature control? Can it be done on the mod itself, or does this have to be done on escribe every time you want to use one?

Use steamengine to set up profiles on Escribe and then you can adjust on the mod. One for SS, titanium, etc.

Thanks. Im usually very tech savvy, however the escribe looks complicated with line graphs and stuff. Not much info out there on it either. Thought about waiting for the sx mini ml for the SS, however Im still pissed that yihi is coming out with that mod and not updating the m class.

Steamengine has the graphs in the csv format using wire types old version. Just plug into the profile then use generic settings for temperature and watts. Then you can adjust on the mod. Can make it simple or learn more and adjust everything. Google is your friend! It is truly a mod you can make personal. Good luck and enjoy!

As roadshaker said, there are 8 memory/profiles you can set on the mod in Escribe. You can have them for ex: Ni200, Ti1, SS, etc. It comes preloaded with Ni200, you can get the other TCR at Steamengine. In lieu of that you can also just enter the coefficient number if need be. Within an hour I felt like I'd been using Escribe forever. I think you're going to like the VT200, I know I do.

Cheers,
Steve

anyone have any experience with Titanium on the dna200? I have 2 different tanks with twisted 28g titanium , dual coil. comes out to .10 ohms. I set the tcr to .00365, 35w, 420 degrees, 200 preheat power, punch is at 7. It hardly fires either one. Its like its barely getting 5 watts. I put either of these tanks on my xcube2, sxmini m or evic vt and its more than I can handle. Whats going on?

All I use is titanium. I have very good results in all my attys. Usually 24g dual coils 100w preheat at 11 for .8 sec and 70w @ 480f. Think you gotta turn up the heat and maybe your tcr is off. You sure it's grade 1?

anyone on the fence for a vt200, wetvapes is having a columbus day sale, 15% off everything. That would bring the vt200 to $144

Starting to hear people grumble about the whiteout. ie: making wisecracks about the hype train & constant delays.

Yeah, I just saw the owner post that he was in China finalizing parts and manufacturing. It's been one thing after the other. Decided that between the delays, and the fact that they are an unproven company, I'll wait. If they come out and the reviews are good as far as construction, I'll get one from a reputable dealer like originvape. Till then, plenty of companies like hcigar and vaporshark thy have proven themselves. Too bad the build quality of hanamodz has gone downhill

That video dated Oct. 12th. He was promising two more weeks. I hope they don't miss that deadline, or there will be a shit load of people bailing out and demanding their money back.

I understand your point reverse engineering things is how the world is built... Go for it I eventually tear everything apart even though at times I wish it wasnt when it was brand new..

Just wondering how you made out on your battery pack. It only last about a half of a day with firing at 90 watts

vapeNW is selling the battery packs for $20, is it worth it? Im kinda leaning towards getting one since I won't have to deal with connectors or anything

As far as I can figure, there is no way to turn it off. You can lock it by 5 clicks of the power button. You can also just lock the power adjustment by holding down the + and - buttons down for 2 seconds. It puts itself to sleep after a certain amount of time of non-use. Thankfully you don't have to perform 5 clicks of the power button to wake it up :)

Cheers,
Steve

I had similar results with a Hana modz 200. I loaded the prolife, but no matter how high I turned it, the never got warm. There was something I wasn't doing right

Ok, love the Vt200 so far but one big problem!! Every time I wake it up from a long sleep (shows home screen) and try to take a hit it's nasty as hell. Ohms aren't reading right even if I previously had them locked. The only cure I've come up with is taking tank off and putting it right back on, then.....and only then! does it finally ask if it's a new atomizer. Changing to a different/compatible profile doesn't help. AND shouldn't be necessary imo. This is a real PIA, any help/suggestions appreciated!
