So the first in my series of dumb questions :xD:....

Cleaning my Melo 3 tank.

I break it down, run it under warm water, put it in some warm water for 5 mins, give the parts a gentle wipe and it's nice and clean, but I can still smell the juice on it.

So any hints?

I've read about cleaning tanks with vodka - would this help more.

Or am I just being overly fussy?

A hint of the smell of a stronger juice is fine, but if you are changing flavors and it's noticeable I would give everything a vodka soak. Nothing wrong with it as far as I'm concerned.

I use strong booze, usually unflavored moonshine, I go for 140 proof or higher. Set it in a bowl or something. Let it soak for about 3-4 hours, give a dry with paper towel, run it under hot water for a few minutes, give a good blow (not a word) wipe with paper towel again and let sit for a couple hours. Some people use a ultra sonic cleaner, but I ain't got one so can't speak for it. I only clean the tank every 3-4 months or so, too lazy to really bother with it any sooner.

HOT water and dish soap. For those really stubborn odors and flavors soak in alcohol first.

I think I'm cleaning more then I should because its all new to me lol.

I've been pondering getting an ultrasonic cleaner but then gadgety things always appeal to me.

Well this week is payday so will get myself some alcohol and see how I go with it.
