Help connecting Vicious Ant SX485J to Yihi app?

You're not alone, I'm having the same problem with the driver not installing for the 485J. Hopefully someone will chime in with a suggestion.
I can't find anything on this, and VA techs were no help. I may try them again.
OTOH it's not necessary to be able to configure and enjoy the VA, I'm just a geek wanting to play with it.
I have that same version of SXi installed. I'm trying to get it to recognize the SX485J chip in the Vicious Ant and apparently don't have the correct driver installed. When I plug in the VA it plays the wave file telling me I've plugged in a USB device but I get a bang in Device Manager saying the it's an unknown USB device and that the device descriptor request failed. I can't find drivers for the SX485j chip on Yihi's site.
In the startup menu there is an SXi folder containing an app named SXi Driverstartup. It will open and present a window to click Start; Task Manager shows "Device upgrade and control GUI tool (32 bit)" running but almost no CPU usage, so not sure what it's doing. Never finishes.
If I click on Connection in the SXi app, I get "Device not found". If click on "Install Driver" (with the VA connected) is fails with "The driver installation failed".
App doesn't see the chipset and the driver won't install.

Same here, I'm fine with it as is and looking to tinker.
The Yihi chips are weird. Like my SX mini is weird in that I cannot figure out how to change the color of the fonts and yet three times the font color has changed accidentally while resetting the resistance LMFAO! Still scratching my ass over that.
Yea, I really don't care but seems like we should be able to connect to the app. When I had the SX mini G class it would connect fine. Never could get bluetooth working right but that was common.
Too bad there's not a Yihi forum as strong as the Evolv DNA forum, or at least that I'm aware of.
Even more annoying is that this problem goes back over a year and still no resolution. I don't get it. Last week I decided to order another mod and really wanted to get another 485J mod but with this issue and the fact that there's so much more that Escribe can do, I went with another DNA mod instead. Still enjoying the 485J very much but really like being able to customise the layout and menu's on DNA's.
But all the features work as opposed to the Yihi mods...
they do, and quit well at that. i am a tech tard, and even i mess witth the dna software. the yihi, i am afraid to touch it. i have a g-class.
