(HELP from experts builders ) Wires list for advanced builds

Hi everyone and Merry Xmas,
I am want to start building wires for advanced coils build like aliens, staple, staggered etc...
On Youtube I can find many tutorials on how to do these builds but everyone have different preferences on the wires type and gauge and my goal here is to collect all the info about which wire is better or commonly used for a particular build for example :

Alien Clapton : 3*28 Ni80 /36 Ni80
Staple :
Staple staggered :

and all the best build are now available so we can have a guide on which are the best solutions and not ending up with coils that are way too low in ohms.

Remember there are differences in wire across types of metal used. So it's not one size fits all.

Yep that's exactly what I am talking about because the differences between types of wire for a beginner is pretty hard to get it right without spending a lot of money in wires and time especially in Australia where everything comes from overseas and take weeks to get here :'(

Get various gauges of SS and Kanthal for practice wire. I keep trolling around for sales on wire and have a good stock of wire. I'd avoid Chinese wire, it tends to be filthy. I'm at the point of being pretty decent with fused Clapton and basic Clapton. I'm going to be toying around with some of the advanced builds but I want to insure my Clapton is really solid.

What I do is go binges with spinning up wire then wrapping the coils. I then take my practice coils, pop them in the Ultrasonic and give them out and also donate them to my favorite B&M.

Get a good variety of Kanthal and SS, especially in gauges from 34g - 44g.

That and pick the brains of our coil gods here like @raymo2u and @CrazyChef , you'll learn a shit load along with trolling YouTube, some of my favorites are from Squidoode

Very useful tool to check where your resistance will be depending on what you use and make: Steam Wire Wizard

For customer coils always wash them before sending and make sure you send them in something breathable, if you bath them and send them in something air tight they will grow mold or other gross contaminants on them during the travel.

Every customer vapes differently and likes a different vape, this is where experience is the best tool...experiment with wire types and outer wrap gauges/ core gauges and then you will know what to build to get the result your customers are looking for. There isnt a one stop answer to which is best...

Hard to say for your end results, but if you are just starting, something like a 28ga kanthal and 32 ga stainless steel are good wires to start with. Easy to work with until you get better and can use other wires.

Thank you guys I know it will sound like cheating or the easy way but I ordered the DAEDALUS from AvidArtisan and it's gonna be here in a couple of weeks, I wanted to buy a normal power drill but I am studying in Australia and I will move soon so if I want to build my coils I need something that I can carry with me. I am also waiting for the wires :

Kanthal A1 Ribbon 0.1mm*0.5mm*10m
Kanthal A1, 26 AWG, 0.4mm*10m
316L SS, 32 AWG, 50m
316L SS, 26 AWG, 10m
Nichrome 80, 36 AWG, 30m

I already have some 24g A1

What do you think? should I order more? My biggest problem is the dual coil setup that ohms too low on my Tsunami because on single coil it doesn't work well, I am using a Kanger DripBox 160W which is basically my only mod along with the eleaf IJUST S

For SS I'd recommend 28g and 34g
I would prefer to wrap with 34g too, i just can't SEE it. Still new to claptons though, and 32 is easier to work with.
lmfao.. I don't wish to discuss my zippered clapton attempt. I ended up with 4 inches of sloppy clapton wire. Might be enough for a single coil on a mech. I'll have to check resistance.

play with it enough and it becomes normal...most people feel 40g is tiny but it feels alot like 36g to me...try playing with higher gauges and it may change your perspective...(Ive been playing with 50g/54g for a bit....most people think thats insane but if you practice its not as crazy as it seems.)

Couldn't spin wire or build without it!

yeah I've got the hand drill, haven't tried it yet.

The headloop has a built in light, works great and I couldn't build/spin without it ;)

My bench is a shelving system and my room lighting sucks and during the evening and night I cant see anything because theres no light coming in through the window and the room light doesnt touch the bench as the shelf above casts a shadow over it....
So I bought some Car Underglow LEDs and now Im rigging a few strips above the bench and it should be bright enough to build with and I can adjust them so I can choose which are lit up...should be lit up like a surgeons room with them all turned on.

I have a magnifying lens with leds on it right now but the leds it has are too bright....maybe its the blueish tint that washes the sharpness out but it makes it hard to build with, thats why I couldnt use the light on the mag glass before but I ordered a pair of goggles like above and the new light system should be a large improvement...

Just think Ive been making builds like this in a shadow with my bare eyes all this time...just imagine what could be accomplished if I could actually see what Im doing!

I know Im kind of boasting here but I think with enough patience, wire, and time anyone could make these....no matter how unskilled you are from the start, with practice its very possible.
Remember this stuff was taken with a Macro Lens/Zoom, this stuff is incredibly tiny and only millimeters wide.
