Help, Just bought a innokin Cool fire plus with Isub G tank and getting a bland flavour

Hey guys, After trying to quit smoking a few times i have decided to start vaping. I asked a few of my vape friends which set up i should go with and they all suggested this. A cool fire plus and isub G tank by innokin. Now i have used it for two days and since the very beginning i have had little to no flavor at all. Because I was quiting smoking i went with 18 MG Ruthless Menage a trois liquid after reading some reviews of it on a website called www.vapeclub.com. I'v tryed changing the coil 3 times but the same result. I didn't think it could be so loud as well. Its like a car backfiring sometimes. It really hisses and scares the shit out of me when im trying to relax haha. Can anyone help me. Its making want to go smoke again...

Hey PC, I do not own that set up, but I can go over a few things to try. Make sure your coil is tightened all the way into the base. You need to prime the coil by putting a few drops of juice directly onto the cotton of your coil. Fill tank to top of chimney, (don't overfill) and secure the tank assembly back together. Let the juice sit in the tank for 10 minutes or so, and do a couple primer pulls by taking a few draws without firing the device. Not sure which ohm coil you have, or weather you mtl or direct lung hit. 18 mg is a pretty high nic level, so if you try to subohm vape with a direct lung hit, it will be very strong and harsh. Hopefully your coil is above 1.0 ohm or above. Anyway, set your wattage around 15 watts or so and turn up until you find the desired power level. If your still not getting a satisfying vape, try taking it to your local vape shop and see if the staff there will help you get it working. You can always check youtube for how-to videos on the Cool Fire 4 Plus and the ISub G. Good luck, and welcome to VU.

Hey Cheers for replying, The Isub G is a subohm tank only. I have 0.5 ohms coils and have the device set to 17 W. I'l see if i can get it to a shop soon for them to take a look.

May not be the best setup for a new vaper trying to quit smoking IMO.

Are you doing direct lung?
I had a sub ohm and was doing mouth to lung and left it alone for MONTHS! Swore something was wrong w my kanger subtank!
Until I read direct lung only... Than my relationship w subohm changed.
I now point this out cause I cannot be the only one who did this lol as a newbie
I however started w aero tank mega and nautilus mini and regular
Those were my tanks for the beginning of my quitting smoking along w juice that tastes just like my cigs more or less!

USA menthol etc

I have the cool fire iv and use aspire atlantis tank .5 coils and i can tell you in my experience when i am moving up on the wattage to break in a new coil i dont get any flavor or vapor at 17 watts its not until i hot around 20 watts that i can actually taste the flavor. Also the tank that you are using is that the glass one or plastic because when I bought mine ithey sold me the sub tank that was plastic and after 2 weeks the chimney broke completely off

To add to the conversation, 18mg juice is a lot of nic and nic takes away from the flavor.
18mg was used with low vapor production old school cartomizers and protanks and stuff.
Subohm vaping gives you multiple times more vapor and nic.

Maybe try a 6 or 9 or 12 or whatever a friend has thes lower than 18mg/ml?

And yeah, like said, a 0.5 ohm coil will need more than 17w. But if you get up to 40w or whatever it wants to run at you may fall over from the massive amount of nic lol

Also, just quitting smoking, your taste buds and overall sense of taste is trashed for a few months. Good premium juices start to taste way over flavored after you get your sense of taste back.

Hisses, backfires like a car... spitting. Vaping subohm is normally a noisy affair but if it is spitting juice, power is too low to vaporize the juice, it's just boiling it.

When I quit smoking I started out with the Blu look a likes. To me they sucked. But the new vapers have such a better choice of what to use then I did 3 years ago. Now I have a collection of 6 devices, 2 which are 200 watts, and more tanks then I really need but I'm happy with all of my gear. What i suggest to someone who just quit is to buy a starter kit and then see where it takes you. Congrats on quitting and vape on brother.
