HELP: MECH MOD FIRES SLOW AF

I have an ABS parallel mech box mod by Cigreen.
I just got it & I'm new to mechs.
I have an alliance V2+ Big Boy RAD that I normally run on my IVP3 at .27 ohm.
I switched to the ABS but it takes at least 10 seconds to heat up but won't even make decentish clouds. I tried .5 Clapton. I tried .2 single coils. Nothing will work. What am I doing wrong?

  • Did you clean and inspect it before you used it?
  • What Batteries are you using?
  • Are they married?
  • Did you research Mech's before you jumped in and how much?

You're new to Mech's, here's my lecture -

1. Ohm's law, http://www.steam-engine.org/ makes it easy and there's even an app on it for Android
2. Batteries, fucking batteries, take good care of your batteries and know them!!!!!!!!
a. Avoid shit batteries like eFest who rewrap rejects with grossly inflated amp ratings. Stick with authentic LG, Sony or Samsung from reputable (not ebay or amazon) sources, great places to get authentic are from
http://liionwholesale.com/
https://www.imrbatteries.com/
b. Stick well within Continuous Discharge Rate (CDR) Not the "pulse"
c. Keep up to date with what Mooch tests and battery ratings, follow his posts on Facebook and his Blog
d. In Mod's with multipule batteries, marry them.
e. Get some battery wraps, they're cheap and easy to re-wrap batteries. Any nicks, tears or what ever don't be stupid and just re-wrap.
3. Don't build stupid low a good builder can chuck and get awesome dense vape from a good build. It's simple, with 20 CDR Amp batteries -
a. Single battery mod's you're fine with .2 ohms on up
b. Dual Parallel you're fine with .15 on up. Parallel you take the full CDR of one battery and you can add 1/2 the amp rating of the next battery
c. Series you double the voltage but you share the amp. So a series you build high with a lot of wire, no lower that .4 ohms.
4. Make sure you don't have any shorts. For an extra caution any new build I vape on a regulated mod for a few drips or with a tank about a 1/4 tank. This is to insure nothing wonky with my build or any shorts.
5. Careful if it's not in your hand, if it doesn't have a lock on the button and you pit it in your pocket (which I really don't recommend) insure nothing else is in your pocket and it's loose. Don't want to put it in your front jeans pocket and blow your dick off ya know ;)
6. Last but certainly NOT the least, keep it clean! Clean it when you first get it "before" you even use it and clean it on a regular basis.
a. Ultrasonics are a very good investment, got mine off Amazon for around $25.

I have GOOD batteries.
The ohms is .27 with both coils.
It's a parallel mech.
It's new (so clean af)
No shorts

When building for a mech you need a build that runs well around 3.6-3.8v, unless you just want the first bit of fresh battery life to make clouds with - then around 4v. So look at your builds on your regulated mod and see what you are running them at - if you are running 4.6v or 5v that build is gonna be rubbish on your mech. Your build has to work with the voltage you got, because it's a mech. Builds that you run at 3.3v or the like also not going to be great as will likely be hot AF on your mech.

What wire was used? in a mech the ohms are meaningless without knowing how that ohm rate was reached.

Big difference between .2ohm coil made from 32 awg and 20 awg wires. The 29 gauge will take a while to heat the 32 will be instant. The 32 will be much hotter the 20 will produce more heat.

GOOD batteries is not good enough, specifically which brand and model do you use?

At what wattage do you usually use those coils with your IPV3?
THIS.
Want help? Need details.
With Mechs the devil is in the details.
A .27 coil on a mech can be ok is not a high mass coil but if a high mass coil can be sluggish as heck.
A battery that works fine with a coil in a regulated may have too much voltage sag under load to work properly with the same coil in a mech.

And clean in a mech is clean as in electrically clean.

Remove Cell phones, the internet and microwaves and most young people would just die.

Humans did exist before all of those things.

Just as Vapers existed before 30 watts.
I expect that far more vapers vape under 30W today vs above 30W.
This^^^ yes This^^^^ (except the die part):D
