Help! My vape randomly stopped working but acts normal. Kbox w/ Subtank Mini

So, I'm using an Kanger KBox with the Kanger Subtank Mini Tank and I've had this vaporizer for about a year. Last night the vape just stopped working without being dropped or anything. The weird part is the battery lights up as if the vape was working. I thought the atomizer might be shot, so I threw in a new one and still not vaping. I've cleaned the connection and it started working for about 6 puffs at one point then stopped again. I can't figure out what the hell is going on. Can anyone give some suggestions?

Take pics of the bottom of the atomizer and the 510

Sounds to me like the center contacts aren't having a proper connection.

If you have a multimeter and three hands... put a lead on the KBox pin, a lead on the Kbox threads, and then hit the firing button. Don't cross the leads. Let us know if the multimeter registers a reading.

What Neunerball said. If it worked after a cleaning try a better cleaning. Use a Q-tip dampened with alcohol and clean out the 510 and the pin on the tank. let it dry before you try it. A pencil eraser works wonders on electrical contacts also. I have an older Subtank and have to clean the crap out of it to get it to read right with Ni200 coils It's not as big of a problem with Kanthal but try it you got nothing to lose. If you have a meter do what Losthasher says to see if it's passing voltage to the 510. If none of this works it may be time for a new mod or advice from someone who knows more about the box than I do. good luck

That's the diagnosis I got for my w.'s Eleaf Mini iStick. Took it apart, reset the pin a little higher and it works fine. I don't know who's happier... her for not having to buy another unit, or me for successfully fixing a mod. One down, three to go.

Fixed a mod and got points with the wife couldn't ask for more.
