Help on shorts

Just got another tank in today and every time I try to fire it up to test the coils my battery says "short" and when I put it in my other batteries it will not fire up same thing happened to my last tank. This is a brand new tank any ideas on why it's doing that?

What kind of gear are you working with - batteries/tank/mod?

What's the resistance that battery will handle? And what resistance are your coils?

A few clear pictures wouldnt hurt either. Thats an RDA not a tank, isnt it?

I have a feeling that the OP is trying to put sub-ohm builds on a mod that isn't built to handle them and is spitting out an error message rather than firing a dangerous build...

This is my build single coil for now. The battery voltage will go up to 6v. No I have not put my wick in it yet.

That's a Tesla V2 Tube Mod. I believe the lowest you can go is 1.2 Ohms. If you are going to use a dripper with low ohm builds, you will need to get something that can handle it, like a Sig 100W mod, or even a D3 Mod at 80 Watts max.

Haha, exactly. If that is 26g wire he's at roughly .8 ohms,
24g @ .6
22g @ .4

Thanks for yalls help, I'm new to all of this. I guess I need to buy a whole new battery setup?
Eventually. For now you could check out steam-engine.org and, using the wire you have available to you, find a build above 1.2 ohm that you can install. And I can't stress this enough, but YOU NEED TO HAVE A MEANS OF TESTING YOUR COIL'S RESISTANCE BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO VAPE IT. So you definitely need to buy an ohm meter and/or multimeter, or learn to use them if you already have them.
