It could be you're using too much.

Flavourings tend to mute when the percentages are too high but perhaps some of the more experienced FA users will have a better explanation.

FA is super concentrated, so I'll go with over flavoring, too. Some of those I use as low as 0.5%, the max would be the strawberry at maybe 3%, but I'm not a big fan of strawberry vapes.

If you're sampling everything, it very well could be flavor shock, lol, as you said, Vaper's Tongue. It sucks, bigger than big, but it does go away. Maybe try 2% Custard with 0.5% Raspberry try it out tomorrow, see what you think. You could also add up to 1% marshmallow if you need sweetness. Don't expect the custard to be vanilla. It's more of a light citrus.

Always shake your flavor before you mix with them. Never go too high with that EM... it's a flavor killer. I'd keep it at one or less.

Start at 3%, don't think any of those should go higher than 5%
Always easier to add.
Make small batches.

If it is vapers tongue you could try what I do.

Number one is really clean your mouth an tongue and gargle with water and a little bit of lemon or lime juice then make an unflavoured vape with just a hint of a citrus flavour and vape that for a day or two. Don't add any sweeteners, just plain VG or VG/PG mixed to your liking.

I honestly don't know if it's that that works for me or just taking a break from favours but it always seems to help.

You should try some of the FA recipes posted in the Recipes thread, or as least get an idea of the amounts typically being used.

Could also be the equipment, tank, coil, wick, wattage, DL, or MTL, etc.

Most of the fruits I can taste fine at 2-3%, like Fuji Apple, Strawberry, & Lemon Sicily.
Then I just add 0.5% FA Marshmallow + 0.5% FA Coconut.
Or 1% Vanilla Classic + 1% Vienna Cream/Fresh Cream.
Normally just steep for 24hrs.

Another option is to vape through 15ml of plain PG/VG/NIC.
Make another identical 15ml bottle with 2% Fuji, or 2% Strawberry, or 3% Lemon Sicily.
When your done with 15ml the plain stuff, try the one with the flavoring now.

From my personal experience taste testing trying to find a store bought flavor I could stomach they all tasted the same until I tried cleansing the palate using a bottle of lemon flavored water. I went to the Vape Shop and tried a couple taking a sip between taste tests until I found one that was a contender. As a base line test I tried another one which I thought was disgusting and then tried a contender again but still had the taste in my mouth from the one I did not like. Took a sip of water and vaped it once more. Guess what it tasted good again!

Now this worked for me and I am not saying it will definitely work for you but it is worth a try. I use store bought water not fresh lemon in water so not too strong and one guy who tried my suggestion went a little crazy with fresh lemon and all he could taste was the lemon! If you use fresh lemon I suggest a slice not squeezing a whole lemon into a glass of water. Hope this helps!

Hi Huck...

This is how it works:

After swishing the coconut oil around for a bit, you get an overwhelming taste for several big Pina Colada rum cocktails.
You drink up...get drunk... fall over...hit your head and bite your tongue off.

Vi-Ola! No more vaper's tongue!

Glad I could help. :D

Wouldn't it be better to rub the coconut oil into someone you love
and then swish that around in your mouth? :)

Huckleberried is correct!

What if "someone you love"... is a porcupine!

swishing with coconut oil actually binds to whatever is causing odor.
Meaning, if someone has bad breath, it binds to that whatever is causing the bad breath and then when you spit it out, it will eliminate the odor (bad breath).

Can I see your research? :)
Oil pulling dates back more than 3,000 years ago, where it first started in India as an Ayurvedic technique used to clean the mouth and teeth. Fill a spoonful of coconut oil and swish it around in your mouth like mouthwash for up to 20 minutes at a time. Oil pulling has been said to relieve toothaches, whiten teeth, freshen breath, absorb harmful bacteria, and possibly even cure the common cold. Many people also mention how good their mouth feels after washing with coconut oil in the mornings, and it lasts all day.

The reason for this: tooth decay is caused by bacteria and previous studies suggest that coconut oil mixed with enzymes in your saliva will help inhibit growth of certain bacteria. Though oil pulling isn’t meant to be a substitute for going to regular dental visits or brushing and flossing your teeth, it can work wonders in lessening bacterial load in the mouth, and therefore the body, helping you sustain a strong immune system. When bad bacteria enters the body through the bloodstream, it can potentially get stuck in the wrong place, such as scar tissue on the heart, and can make people very sick. Here is some advice to help you learn how coconut oil pulling can help you to sustain a high level of oral and overall health.

I checked it out. Part of that page mentioned:

"Spit the oil into a trash can or container, just like you would bacon grease."

I'm not yet too keen on swishing with coconut oil. Swishing with bacon grease? Now That I can understand.;)

It is an odd feeling to swish the coconut oil but it really does work.
After awhile its not that big of a deal to swish it.
Bacon oil swishing, now that sounds like a delight

Maybe both together...in a vape juice!

I have Cap & FW Bacon flavors. I've never tried them mixed with any coconut flavors...yet. I do have FA & INW Coconut. Hmmm.....

Bust it out, you might come up with the next best seller!

You may be right!

I was thinking of looking for a job on Monday. Obviously that now must be postponed!

Regrettably, I have just remembered that Cap is soon halting it's bacon flavor production . I just hope FW will be able to produce in vast quantities to meet anticipated demand.:)
