Hi, Im new to vaping and I just bought a joyetech evic VTC with CUBIS tank yesterday.

Now when i tested the device using the BF RBA Head (0.5ohm) came in the package, everything was fine but then when I got home and vaped on the same setting (20watts) I got burning e-juice spitting into my mouth. The seller told me to turn the watts up to 30-35 so the juice would all be burned up. (Is burn the correct word though, not native speaker haha). Anyway, it didnt help at all, so I googled how to fix the flood and I blew the coil to get the extra liquid out and it was fine for a little while but then it kept spitting again.

I had changed to a 1ohm coil head came in the package and everything was fine, no spitting at all. But when I tried the RBA 0.5 head again, the problem came back. Help please. :(:(:(

Do you happen to know the PG/VG ratio of your juice? This is a typical issue with more PG heavy juices(50/50)(Thinner juices).

Finding out the type of juice you are using is a good place we can start to figure out what the issue could be.

Unfortunately, I do not know the PG/VG ratio :( but I've googled that many people are having the same problem with the CUBIS tank, although some doesnt at all, so may it be a design flaw or something ?

If its a common problem, you could always grab a drip tip with anti spitback on it. I can't speak to how well they work, but here are a few:
From China(Make sure you select "e-packett" for shipping, it'll be a few weeks, but it'll be the fastest)
MEV Drip Tip
Generic Stainless Steel/POM Drip Tip

From the US(Considerably more expensive)
Saltshaker MLV Drip Tip(This is the authentic of the "MEV" linked above)

If none of these fit your fancy, you can just google "Anti Spitback Drip Tip" and see if you can't find something you like more, I just ran a quick search and came up with these from the first page.

I'll definitely look into it. Thanks man.

The cubis tank is known to spit with the 0.5ohm coils. I can suggest maybe you try a thicker higher VG juice and use it at 28w. The 0.5 coil I think says 15-30w so I don't know why the vendor told you to up the wattage so high.
The best option is what @Imjms said. This will be the best solution

Although, I don't own a cubis, I know a bit about building your own coils, and wicking. You mentioned, it only happens with the RBA. It sounds to me you have an issue with the wick. You might need more wicking material, in order to prevent from too much juice going to the coil. In general, building a coil is the easy part, getting the wicking right is the harder part, and it varies from tank to tank. Try a search, to find a build video for your cubis RBA. Usually, there are many videos to be found, for almost every atomizer available.

And, yes, a thicker juice, could do the trick as well.

I think OP meant 0.5 ohm BF coil. I might be wrong though.

Thanks everyone. I have decided to either get a new tank for the Evic or sell it and get a Snow Wolf Mini cuz it's so cool.
Any thoughts ?

I have to use very high PG, and I've gone entirely to RDAs because of high gunk, and also I just like RDAs better, but with thin juice at low wattage in an RDA, I always get hot spits. So I went to angled adapters and knuckleheads:

The juice still spits, but 99.99% of the time it doesn't go around the angle to hit my mouth.

I notice when I vape a lot in a row I get the spitting juice on my tongue...I usually use at least an 80vg/20pg but do notice it more with the higher pg levels.
