Just got a griffin 25, can't seem to wic it so that I don't get dry hits past 30 wats.

.5 single coil, watched tutorial vids, nothing had worked. Any ideas?

Running duel coils at 50 wats .27 seems to be doing just fine.

This is my method to wick and what has worked well for me.
also don't use cheap wick material as it will kill the performance. I was using jap cotton pads with the tip layer sheets removed and it just wasn't wicking that well. Bought some cotton bacon and I use so little bit of cotton to wick. Seriously though less is more.

Cut your wick tails so that just a tiny bit shows beneath the wick ring.

Is your juice control fully open? I've vaped the 22mm past 100W, although I'm running a more conservative build on my 25mm.

Haven't ran mine in single coil but have no issues running in dual coil at 100+ watts with a .24 coil wick it like roxy said have the wicks just barellely going below the ring and don't have too much cotton puffing out I the side between the coil and channel.

Run mine with dual SS Claptons .28 ohms at 45 and 55 watts all the time.....no dry hits...secret is as others said not too much cotton in juice slots and use a dental pick or other sharp narrow instrument and Fluff ends of cotton, then use the very thin instrument to poke it into the channels. This prevents overpacking and making the cotton too tight. I do this fluffing and sharp instrument stuffing with ANY RTA or RDTA and so far wicks fine and none have leaked. I'm using a DIY VG 75 PG 25 mix on all my juices.

Fluffing the cotton is critical.....as most cotton is manufactured too dense (the Cotton Bacon appears to be very fluffy to start with..never used it though) to properly wick at high watts, high VG, and chain vaping. Fluffing (combing it) it good from the coil out (and trim the raggedy ends back off) will help any regular cotton wick better. And stuffing the Cotton Bacon too tight will ruin it's already somewhat fluffy and open wicking. Wicking is an "art form", practice makes almost perfect.

The Griffin is not a high Watt machine it's a standard RTA, 45 to 65 where I got it, but the sweet spot is 50 Watt anyway I run it.

I've got a really low stainless build in there now that won't even wake up at 50 watts so I gotta go heavy at it haha
