Help with hcigar box mod

Hi everyone I'm new to the vape world. My buddy gave me what he says is a hcigar dna20. He gave me it for free because he says its shorted out but I might be able to rebuild it? I guess what I'm trying to find out is if and how I can replace the board inside to make it usable again. Thanks for any help.

Replacing the board requires removing the old board, the old buttons, and the old charge board. And then ordering those things. And resoldering and glueing all those pieces back into place. Do you know how to solder?

Yeah I have a little experience with soldering. Would it even be worth rebuilding it? Or would it be cheaper to just buy a new one?

Im currently rebuilding my cloupor cana mod. the chips alone cost me $90. The Buttons and battery holder cost me $6. And acrylic will run you $10. So thats $106 instead of $250. (and thats with authentic dna 40 chip and high end parts). if you went withh clone parts, it would be about $30, vs $90 new (clone). Im not going to lie to you, i broke my screen installing it. Its really fragile.

Thanks for the info. If I would want to go cheap and buy clone parts would I just get them off eBay? Or is there a more reliable place?

I put a DNA 40 in my cana for $70 total in parts 65 for chip and 15 in switches. I had wire already. Its a easy swap if you take your time. I broke my screen the first try and Evolv replaced it free.
