Hello Everyone. I just want to ask a question. I am constantly looking through recipes for the "next best thing" or a ADV and I have been running across recipes that call for saline, citric acid and others that I can't recall ATM. So....not finding this in Bull City where I have ONLY ordered flavors through, I am wondering wth is it?? lol...you may think it is silly but its something that is kind of bothering me. More stuff like alcohol like vodka? what in the world would this do to the juice. I can't imagine anything calling for that....I do know that the alcohol is evaporated with heat so is there another reason why someone would put this in juice? my best guess is for thinning it out, but I just assumed that pg would do this. Help this newbie out please :) Thanks!!!

The citric acid is is lemon juice for the most part. Saline is well saline.
The heat speeds up the oxidation of the flavors not just the evaporation of the alcohol, but also thins out the vg.

The saline in question is the ZERO point nine % found in pharmacies for wound irrigation. There are no other ingredients when you look at the contents. Many people believe it to be a coil killer, some believe it pops fruit flavors. I tried it a couple times, got no benefit from it. No, it doesn't add a salty taste, LOL.

Only thing I ever use is ACV to help out an apple recipe.
Saline didn't do anything for me either.

Vodka or pure grain alcohol (PGA) is sometimes added in the belief it increases juice throat hit. Some folks are PG sensitive and may instead wish to thin with alcohol.

My understanding is that citric acid(lemon juice) is used to make tobacco flavors pop, but I have not had that experience. I would be concerned about it going bad. Malic acid is another tool which is used to impart a slight sour taste for certain fruits and candies. Saline doesnt make sense to me as salt cannot evaporate(at least at the temps we are talking about), which means the salt would eventually crystallize/corrode coils. Alcohol is used as a thinner and throat hit enhancer for those with PG sensitivities, it might enhance certain flavors but I have no first hand experience with it. I'm fine with PG.

vodka has once again been relegated
to it's spot hidden under the towels in the linen closet.
I was cruising through posts about saline and read this. Absolutely hilarious! Get outta my bathroom Shark Vape! Now I have to find a new hiding spot damnit ;)
