SO this is my first attempt at DIY

I ordered form Wizard labs
12mg nic juice VG
VG
TFA Peach
TFA mango
TFA Quince

My goal was to replicate the peach mango flavor I buy at the store
and the quince flavor they sell

I made 6mg max vg (only pg is flavor, just like the store bought)
i started with quince
I used 7% quince and made 5ml
While it didnt taste exactly like the store bought, but it was good. It had a much stronger pear taste in comparison to the store bought but it was good
so I made a larger batch of 50ml and it tasted like garbage. very sweet, no pear taste at all and its just upsetting my stomach.

So I tried peach mango
I make 5ml that has 5% of peach and 5% mango. WAY TOO SWEET. So i tried each flavor individually at 5% and both are way too sweet at 5% or 2.5% I mean they dont even really taste like peach or mango. They are just sweet sweet sweet

the store bought flavors are just totally different. I can taste peach and mango. I dont know how describe teh difference in taste, the store ought flavors are darker and much more flavorful while what I made is light, thin and mainly just sweet.

I need help. Is it my percentages? Is it the brands? Is there something I am missing?

Help anyone

Moving this to the DIY General Discussion, for a broader "audience", wider range of help/suggestions. With that said...

You might need something to "tart up" what is too sweet to you. If even at 2.5% those aren't working out, you could always dilute your sample some, find your sweet spot with those 2 flavorings, then add just a touch of something, like Lime, to add a variation of flavor for you. FA Lime Cold pressed is awesome for that. It starts pretty tart initially, but mellows out after a day or so. I'd also suggest letting this mix settle a bit, just to see if after some time, you find it more to your liking.

You done good by tasting your mixes first, at reasonably low percentages. Tasting your flavors first is a huge key to success. You might find that a different brand of mango and peach work better for you. Give those a bit of settling time, then try them again. Good luck!

I was thinking a different brand of flavoring might help. I picked up some loranne peach at a local grocery store. Its about the same though. Very sweet. Both the TFA and LA are very candy like to my taste buds. The store bought I use as well as what I order form Gourmetvapor.com are not candy like at all.

Does anyone know of a brand that peach and mango are not candy like and more fruit like? or is there some secret ingredient like the FA lime cold pressed that turns candy like flavors into more fruit tasting flavors?

I was considering getting some of FA MTS Wizard but couldn't find any info here on the forums about it to verify if it is actually all it is supposed to be by the description.

nope.

I used to use an iclear 30s on any ego style battery i could get. I got talked into an eleaf30 with a kanger nano sub ohm tank. I can't go back to the iclear30s now. It just is horrible to me. SO I am stuck on sub ohm vapping. Unfortunately I don't feel like spending more on juice in a day then a pack of cigarettes. My juice consumption has gone from 3-4ml a day to 10-12ml a day. SO I want to do DIY and SAVE TONS on the juice cost

ok to update if anyone else is trying to make a peach mango
3% FA white peach
1% FA peach (cuts down the white peach)
0.5% FA mango (to me the mango is extremely overpowering compared to either peach)

to me this tastes better then any store bought. The white peach adds some serious taste to this flavor
THE FA flavors are much more fruit tasting then TFA or CAP or FW which all taste candy like to me

Yep, I totally agree with every word you wrote, and I'd totally vape that.
