I expected a lot more from the Provari 3. 20 watts????? Are you fuckin joking?????
Mrscaryz is dead correct about the 5 amp limit. It's not going to push .7 ohms very well. I love my Provari 2.5. The bottom line: Provari will NEVER build a power house. It all boils down to litigation. They are are sooooo afraid that if they built a 30 watt, 10 amp, .2 ohm device someone is
sure to blow their face off. As for pricing,Todd E-Reviews states they will sell for 180.00 pounds, that's $292.19 folks. Not me, not this time Provari

Yea, for $300 you can get a few (or 4) high power mods. Pass.

It is nice seeing provari put something new out that is actually new and not just a paint/anodizing job. I really hope they drop the price to closer to the $150 mark otherwise it will be a non starter for a lot of people and just continue to fuel the march of the cheap imports.

Well you can count that out lol.. if the 2.5 is going for 170-180$ why would the P3 be sold for even less @ 150$?

Because Provari!

Provari is banking on their name and quality to sell this overpriced low power mod. Even if it was 30 Watts it's going to be way too expensive for 85% of the vapers out there.

If I can buy an Eleaf iStick VV/VW mod that goes to 20 watts for $39, why the hell would I fork over $280 for a mod?

Don't misunderstand me, the Provari's have been bulletproof and solid VV devices, I own one, so does my wife, but this incarnation is pushing the limit of what people can afford. You can buy a fucking nice laptop for $280, and an even nicer desktop system with lots of bells and whistles for $280. You can buy 2 150 watt dual 18650 mods plus a shitload of goodies and ejiuce for $280.

It is a one button system still, so the more features you have, more clicking you will have to do.
The P3 has some sort of hybrid system in place, but not sure what atties will currently work on it since the diameter is still the odd 22.5mm.

I think the best comparable mod to the P3 would be the older, DNA20 version of the MarkBugs Wizard Evolved, but that was one year ago...

I smell a bet coming along here lol.. I would love to think it will be around 200$.. but I'm guessing the cheapest you will see it is around the 250$ range (because it comes with all tubes) and they bank off the extension tubes on the current gens. I will still buy it because its just worth the money and the thing is built like a tank.. I don't think that's overpriced at all - look at some of the mech mods that don't do shit and they are all over 200$

Yeah..comes with all tubes. . . I'd rather pay to have 5Watts less, and get a semovar..

The extensions on the p3 look like shit, feel like shit, the diameter is dumb, I think the tube feels similar to an IPV's quality casing, and the menu is just fucking stupid.

The menu makes me think of minority report. Tom cruises waving his hands around manipulating the screen...but only a caveman version of that.

Fuck provape.. We will decide who makes it in this industry.

Man... it's so much nicer not to have "fuck"appear in my posts.:)

Provape has already made it in the industry.. and they are not going away anytime soon.. one of the only companies that can be miles behind the rest of the industry and still sell a shit ton of products.. the P3 will sell regardless on how cool the menu is.. look at the 2.5's - the menu is ancient.

Well, I've never messed with the menu of a provari 2.5..been around them.. didn't give a shit..I can't use a ~4 Amp mod.

And the way I described the menu may make you think I think it's cool...but it is as cool as AIDS..

Are you saying they're resting on their laurels? Cuz that sure looks like what Provape is doing to me.

Unfortunately, companies that make it and then forget to stay ahead of the curve are quicker to disappear than one might think. Brand loyalty isn't what it used to be these days, and good reputation can only shield you from market forces for a short time.

I'm waiting until they release before I make my final decision. But, if they are priced in the higher range mentioned, I'll probably stick with the mini that I have. It's rock solid, vapes like a champ & is all the power that I need.

I'm saying that the P3's will sell regardless of the options it has. 20watts and plenty for the normal person vaping and the device is as solid as you can make them. Plus a great warranty and customer service will be other reasons why people continue to buy from them. You are sadly mistaken if you think provape will go under anytime soon. Just wait and see.

Oh I ain't saying they'll go under tomorrow. All I'm saying is, the Provari diehard fans will keep on buying regardless of the actual value for money of the new devices, but not-so-diehard fans might flee in droves faster than ProVape expects, and if they don't get their act together in time then, they may well find themselves in dire straits rather quickly.

Agreed.. I do think 'tube mods' in general are becoming a thing of the past.. I would really like them to build a powerhouse box mod but that doesn't seem like it will happen.. I will still buy one (not right away, but eventually) and I know it will still outlast any other mod that I buy which is all I care about in the end.

To each their own really, I thought high powered regulated mods would be the end of me using mechanicals, but I still prefer to use mechs. Same as the guy who prefers to use the cartomizers and provari, nothing wrong with that at all, if it works for you, then it works.

As for Provape losing customer base, I don't think they will, but I'm quite certain they will not be gaining new ones with the P3 within the same ratio as they did before.

Do what you got to do but imo if you want to spend a couple hundred there are better options out there. I had a p3 for a couple days and passed it on. If regulated tubes are your thing I will take my Mark Bugs WAEII over a p3 anyday. Not saying the p3 is junk or anything as it feels nice enough but the single button menu is lame imo. I simply did not see enough differences from the 2.5 to make me keep the p3, but the prices for the p3 are slowly slipping a bit, so if you wanted to save a few bucks you could either buy a new used one for about a buck fifty or wait until the next decent Provape sale.

If you are interested in a p3, they are great. I own one but never use it since I got into TC. I used mine for about a month and now it sits on a shelf hoping someone will buy it.

For people who don't want ridiculously high voltage and a well made device, I still recommend the provari. I have 3 different v2.5 and I've put them all through hell and every one of the, still works

I have a issue with my usb connection on my computer so I'm not able to play my key so I'm searching for info about the menu and settings, I think I have it in Watt mode now at 10.2 . I do like it's connection I'm using the Aspire tank with the P3 threads and it's a seamless fit.

If you want to switch between wattage and voltage, you enter the menu system 4 clicks, press for atomizer mode up, press again it will flash what mode you are in. If you wait a second, it will switch to the other mode.

Here's a link to the manual http://www.provape.com/v/pdf/ProVari 3 Manual - English.pdf

Great Puff! I know many say the Provari 3 is underpowered, and it may be for their vaping style and preferences. But if you enjoy vaping at 20 watts and under it is a great device and certainly is the class of the field. There is still not another mod on the market that can equal its regulation. While other devices are touting regulating to within a couple tenths of a volt, the Provari is regulating to within a couple hundreths of a volt. While not a mod that is going to satisfy people that want to have a regulated vape at 50 watts, it is unequaled in regulating to 20watts. Enjoy it and know you have the best device in its class.

Drone I'm not into this crazy sub ohm stuff on my Provari, s I'm just like a good hit and the mod to work. I did buy the istick and I love that little mod it has its own little set of problems . I started Vaping with a Provari I waited on a list for it. These are made to last for sure . I will still be using my P 2.5 because I like it as it saved my life.

Your husband will love the celtic knot....it's a manly design....lol

I have had the 2.5 since December 2013 and bought the P3 December last year and love it. The boost mode is really nice I feel and the menu is not that cumbersom as some feel.

Have not used the 2.5 since I got the P3 except for this weekend as I was curious to just dust it off and give it a whirl and since I bought the extended warranty (yeah I know-didn't need it). I felt I had to put some more time on it just in case.....ha ha

If Husband does not like the Celtic design I'll order him the Military Model, I have two Provari mods I bought when Provape had just started , My Satin was a real trooper, my Black Chrome is still sweet, my Polished shows all the finger prints and my Red 2.5 rockin some cool tanks that match. I have now got the menu down on the P3 this Mod is pretty sweet after you get all the Menu stuff.
